Hey guys.

Im just wondering if theres a way for my Shadowword death macro to execute on my focus, if I have a friendly player targeted

Currently using this macro:
#showtooltip Shadow Word: Death
/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus,modifier:shift] Shadow Word: Death; Shadow Word: Death

Found this macro, but this one targets my focus, is there a way to keep my current target ?

/cast Shadow Word: Death


Obvoiusly i want the macro to cast on my current target if its hostile

Answer for those interested:

1. If i use my shift modifier(even on a hostile target) it will cast on my focus.
2. If im not holding shift and its a friendly player im targeting it will cast on my focus.
3. If im targeting a hostile player it will cast on him.

That's not exactly correct. What you have can also be written like this:

/cast [target=focus,modifier:shift][harm][target=focus][] Shadow Word: Death

And achieve the same thing. It's easier to see what it's really doing in this format.

1. If you hold down shift, it will cast on your focus.
3. If you are not holding down shift and have a hostile target, cast on your target.
3. If you are not holding down shift and do not have a hostile target, cast on your focus (note this includes "don't have any target").

It's essentially what you want though.

/cast [target=focus,modifier:shift][harm][target=focus,harm] Shadow Word: Death

That might be more applicable: i.e., only cast on a hostile focus, and don't try to cast on a focus target that doesn't exist. No huge difference, but it's cleaner and will throw slightly fewer red text errors.
