Update: October 14th End Date

A flood of news recently. We now have an end date for Season Four. You have two weeks to make that final push for the titles. There is a chance this date could change, most likely being pushed back if issues arise with the 3.0 patch.

Also, an important thing to note. You cannot transfer until you have actually received your end of season reward if you are qualified. Don't say you weren't warned this time.

Official Blizzard Quote:

We’re currently planning to end the fourth Arena season on October 14, 2008, and as always -- this date could easily change. This Arena Season is only ending in respect to the ladder, meaning we'll be taking a snapshot of the season's ladder and then go through our normal process to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. This process should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the arena-specific title and/or Armored Nether Drake to refrain from transferring their character to another realm between the date outlined above, and when the end-of-season rewards are physically awarded.

Upon the end of this Arena Season, teams and ratings will not be wiped, and will carry forward allowing players to earn points each week and purchase gear until the launch of the expansion (November 13, 2008)
End of season rewards will be determined by the ladder when the 3.0 content patch is released. You will keep earning points and keep your teams until WotLK is released, but competing after that point will only reward you with points.

Still no official word on when 3.0 will be released, but we will start updating things for the calculator/end of the season.

Official Blizzard Quote:

We've revaluated certain aspects of how the arena system and current arena season will be affected during both the next content patch, and the launch of Wrath of the Lich King. For starters, the current arena season will end in respect to the ladder upon the release of our next major patch. What this means is, we'll be taking a snapshot of the current season's ladder just before the realms are taken down for patch maintenance, and our normal process will commence to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. Teams and ratings will not be wiped at that time, and will carry forward allowing players to earn points each week (and buy gear) until the launch of the expansion on November 13th. Almost immediately before Wrath of the Lich King releases, all arena teams as well as ratings will be wiped and arena charter NPCs disabled.

We have five more beta keys to giveaway. We are also very close to releasing an update to our talent pages. Currently, the way to create and maintain them is very cumbersome and that has allowed them to get out of date. Our new method should be much easier to read and much easier to submit. This should allow us to have a much larger and up to date list of pvp talent builds.

We do need to start filling it with data before we take it live. This is where the beta keys come in. We are asking everyone to submit data to help us fill out our database. Here is what we need:

1) A link to a talent build and a description telling us as much as you can about why the build is good. Preferably, use the WoW.com talent calculator (http://www.worldofwa...s/talent-index/) but that is not required.
2) A detailed description of an individual talent, good or bad. It doesn't need to be long, but please express it as clearly as possible. The goal is to let people know why a talent is or isn't useful.

Here is how the giveaway will work. We will draw them randomly based on your submissions. Please put all submissions here:
http://www.arenajunk...isplay.php?f=68

1) Each build + description that we end up using will get 40 tickets.
2) Each talent description that we end up using  will get 1 tickets.

There is no limit on how many times you submit. Thanks for helping us put it together. We will run the competition for about a week. There will be no set time line on this competition, but we will give a two day warning to get your final submissions in. We would like to launch the new talent section as soon as possible, and once we will feel like we have enough, we will give the two day warning.

UPDATE: The competition is now set to end Friday, September 26th at 5 PM EST.

UPDATE: Winners were randomly drawn. Thanks everyone for submitting to help get this new feature launched.
