We are putting in a new ranking update system in place tonight which should keep specs more up to date. As part of this, we are in the process of completely reupdating the rankings list. This might mean you will temporarily see some BGs missing from the list, but don't worry, they are being updated.

Also, if you are a member here, your spec on the rankings page will be updated in sync with your personal profile. We will also denote that you are a member here with some little special icon :)

On the plus side:
With the 2.4.0 PTR, we will be allowing US, EU and Korean players to access all available PTR realms. Players will be able to choose which test realm they wish to play on without being restricted by region. We currently plan to make all PTR realms available in this way for all future patches.

The arenas are currently disabled to help focus the testing on Warsong Gulch. Hopefully they will start to roll out some Arena balancing changes after they get the PvE and BG testing out of the way. Back to Top

We have been doing regular updates now every hour, and if your character has failed a certain amount, you should have received an automated PM that lets you know that your character information is out of date. Please request a character change in the Name Change/Character Transfer forum. We want to make sure we have everyones character information and arena teams as accurate as possible so that we can evaluate access restrictions appropriately.

Also, this is just a reminder that when you do transfer or change your name, we have no way to track it other than you letting us know it has changed.

I went ahead and did an overhaul of the armory update system. Here is how it now works:

1) You should no longer lose your title or spec when the armory is on the fritz. If you lost yours, the next update should resolve it.

2) Your information now should never get more than 24 hours out of date. We will be doing updates constantly throughout the day, and we are time stamping your last update to ensure that we process every user.

3) Upon gaining full access to the forums as a Junkie, you will receive another PM letting you know that you now have access.

4) You can see when you were last updated. Click on your profile (now in the nav menu) and under your armory information in the bottom left, it will say the last update date. This should never be more than one day behind. If it is, now you can prove it to me :)

5) If your character information has become invalid, we will eventually send you a private message letting you know that you that it needs to be updated. You can request a character update in the name change forum.

Just wanted to let you guys know that this has been fixed. Both the rankings and strategy pages should be working properly.

Our server move completed last night, and it appears the new server had different settings than the old. This caused the rankings script to break when it was narrowed down on a very specific team. The strategy pages happen to run that same code to find a very specific team.

We updated the strategy section today with quite a few new guides, thanks to our authors. Hopefully the author section is more prominent and gives better credit where credit is due. Just step one of our goal to make it easier to be a contributor here and to thank you for your hard work.

We also have some new features on the strategy pages:

Comment System:
Comments can be left on the main strategy page as well as on the individual matchup level. Hopefully through this, even more information about the matchups will be available. We will also use this to update the strategies and credit people as necessary.

Better Sorting:
All the matchup and strategy lists are now sorted by class which should make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Tonight we have put in a new video section.

Each video page includes a Stage6 Stream, a download link to the high-res version, a scene list, UI list, music list, and the list of members featured in the video. You have the ability to rate the video as well as each individual player featured in the video.

We dropped in a new comment system that we will be putting in on our other pages. You can filter the comments to show all the comments, Junkies Only, or Non-Junkies only.

We are proud to say that all of the videos were filmed and edited by Junkies from AJ. If you have any videos you would like to submit, please post the video as well as any information we might need to fill out the page in the video forums. If you want to link people to your AJ video page, we wouldn't mind that either :)

Good news, in keeping up with AJ's growth, we are upgrading our servers. We will now be in a dedicated/clustered setup. Shared cluster for the web and a dedicated box for the SQL server. This should mean that site performance will always be reliable and fast. It should also make it possible for us to roll out some very cool new features soon.
