The latest PTR patch revealed the new item bonus for PvP trinkets (any combination) to reduce damage taken by 10%. This bonus is strong enough to outweigh pretty much any PvE trinket in the game.

However with 10% added to the 65% already in the game we could see issues with too high survivability in patch 5.4. Do you think 10% is too much? Should base resilience be reduced? Do you think PvE trinkets are gone for good?

You can use PvE and PvP proc trinkets together. Do they share an internal cd? If so that is news to me as I only play the Gnomish master race on live.

My bad. I thought you meant that humans would not be able to get the set bonus if they used 2 proc trinkets(as in, 2 of the same pvp trinkets).

And obviously different proc trinkets do not share a ICD.

The "EXCITING PVP news" is not related to gear according to GC.

You maybe should take a look at the new PVE trinkets @mmo-champ... they are hilarious as fuck:

Increases the cooldown recovery rate of six of your major abilities by 39%.
Your attacks have a chance to grant Amplification, increasing your Critical Strike damage and healing, Haste, and Mastery by 84% for 20 sec.
Your heals have a 9.9% chance to trigger Multistrike, which causes instant additional healing to your target equal to 1/3 of the original healing done.

Even with not final numbers and downscaling they will affect PvP.

Please note that this set bonus is applied to any combination of two PvP Trinkets.
You don't need to use a CC removal trinket, so it shouldn't hurt humans much more than other races...

Just got a reply from @holinka on twitter saying that PvE ilvl in arena will be scaled down to 512, with 522 ilvl conq gear always exceeding it.

Pretty interesting. a nail in the coffin for PvE gear in arena?

i feel classes like affli lock or "fire" mages perhaps even moonkin dots will go to weak after this, out of cooldowns ofc

at 513 ilvl that should have
8150 strength proc and 27% cd reduction.  If it scales normally with ilvl.

Looks like it might be gamebreaking for some specs but not so much for others depending on how they scale it down.

Even with a lower ilv I still plan on using double or at least a single pve trinket unless a team tunnels me then Ill swap out for this bonus. The reality is that pvp power is a dogshit stat and intellect is twice as good as at it. For raw healing output pve trinkets are still going to be vastly superior to pvp ones and far less situational as additional healing is always helpful whereas a battlemaster trinket may never be used at all in like 20 games.

Those all seem [b]hugely[/b] gamebreaking. I don't see why you wouldn't use those trinkets over 10% reduction. It wouldn't even be a contest, but yeah I guess if they're scaled down enough...maybe.

Make the set bonus 20% and remove any doubt imo. We need those trinkets out of PvP and damage reduced.

With scaled down "Rallying Cry", "Reck" and "Shield Wall" has 2min cd, sounds fun.

Are resilience gems worth it though?  You get so much for your primary and secondary stats, you'd have to stack resil and lose all of that in order to even get it to be worth it (400 pts of resil now = 1%)

I'am sorry, but I don't see how this change will be any good at all. with the 65% resi by default everyone still manages to 100% - 0 people, 10% damage reduction on that will not make a damn difference. mentioning stacking resi gems on top of this is just like comparing 5.2 when everyone with knowledge stacked resi over pvp power and anything else. just this time it will be the other way around. You will notice significant damage reduction from losing your int / agi / str gems you use and still almost take the same amount of damage as you previously did. There are tons of different angles to attack my arguement, but I simply can't be arsed to go into detail on everything. I try to just go through the core and say, wearing a T-shirt on top of your kevlar doesn't make it more bulletproof. just think it though.

[/quote]Pvp power went up to 400 = 1%. resilience hasn't changed at all just the amount on gems (from 320 to 160). I gem full resilience on rogue when i FC in RBG and it makes a HUGE difference in survivability.
