Looking for PvP Guides! - News

Sorry to talk down upon arena junkies but who in their right mind would make a quality guide just for arena junkies? ...when a site like skillcapped will actually pay and compensate appropriately for time spent??

PS: Buying/Obtaining curse premium would be the equivilent of buying/obtaining a winrar license.

tl;dr: Not worth it m8

This used to be a defining feature of Arena Junkies. If there was more introductory information available like this then there would possibly be a new infusion of players into the arena system. As Exumbra said, there may be less incentive for a established top tier players to contribute, however this is likely a good opportunity for some up-and-comer to better the community.

Maybe some people just want to be helpful to some without having to be paid for it..... there are some decent people you know,

Exactly, I write guides because I enjoy helping the community, not everything has to be for profit. I hope a few people take AJ up on this, I know there are a lot of intelligent players in the PVP community with a great deal of knowledge to share. I think a lot of them get discouraged by what is typically a hostile and adversarial environment, not just here on AJ but on pretty much all WoW PVP forums.

But I think people will find that if they write a good guide and make a positive contribution the community most of the community will respond in a positive manner, even those who otherwise post in a hostile fashion. At least that has been my experience.

Maybe someone could write a guide on how to farm PvP gear on freshly dinged chars, without spending either 75 hours in queue or 150 hours dying.

I have no idea why honor items have to be that expensive.

yeah no point in bothering if you can sell it to skill capped. hell, i've seen some vids etc on skill capped and it's hilarious how gay those players all act and talk, stating the most obvious shit but the second they meet a player in the game who is so shit that he needs explanation 90% of good players would flame him like fuck.

As a beginner on the pvp arena, a guide on many different classes would be much appreciated. It (in my oppinion) will give a lot of new comers a great platform to start on and might help expanding WoWs pvp.

And us "up and comers" who post guides will likely get flamed all the way back down to 1200 rating, because we're not multi-r1. Got something brewing for boomkins atm, once more data is collected.

I think this is something that has been missing for a while.

The thing is you're going to have to either:

a) lower the rating requirement for the creators of said guides so you get a wider scope of players who may create guides.

look harder for high rated players who have the time, are willing to put in the time and dont want to do these guides for profit.

If they're only going to be really basic guides surely there's no need for a multi r1 to be the writer?

This. I'd be happy to write a basic guide because lets be honest there's not a lot to resto shaman really.

But like Creamo said i'd be on the receiving end of a million flames.
