News Post from WildeHilde
Minpojke: my guild Yaspresents is doing an online 3v3 tournament on EU Arena Pass, but we have a problem with latest hotfix patch not being live there (30% battle fatigue and fire blast glyph, warrior 3 stack tfb). Is it somehow possible to hotfix it before next weekend (18th January) when were going to have the finals?

He is also the one that unlocked the thread, despite the "no Blizzard in thread title" rule and twittered about the change. He often times supports PvP, links stuff where he can. He is the personification of the hopes I have for Blizzard's new approach to PvP.

You should go outside sometimes.

But then I can't hate everything about this game and how little blizzard cares about PvP all the time

The often has issues linking AJ because of the amount of flaming and trolling, but they have changed their approach and take PvP a lot more serious than in Cataclysm.

Actually Blizzard showed a lot more effort than in previous expansions and a lot of things get fixed and worked upon. If you had been in Shanghai you could have witnessed it. This tournament was way better organized than former BlizzCons and when I talked to the Blizzard guys there they were interested and I know they are looking at what happens around here on AJ.

I´m not saying its a bad thing they "do" stuff now but restarting realms and waiting a whole season to make some classes atleast viable in arena and thus ruining the gaming and PvP/Arena experience for said specs/classes for a WHOLE SEASON doesnt sound fine to me and since they also fucked up the gear "catch up" with the upgrades these people also can't simply reroll.
So some of them just afk or level different classes and wait for 5.2 and/or simply QUIT. The PvP community is smaller than ever and keeps getting smaller because of the time Blizzard needs to admit mistakes and actually apply hotfixes.
Atm its like 5.1 will fix it, no 5.2 will fix it then it will be 5.3 will fix it! Maybe you will see that PvP is clearly blizzards last priority(yes even pet battles are above it) when the PvP community goes nearly extinkt. And just because Blizzard "does" some stuff now and trys to fix some things in PvP/Arena its by far not enough and seems to me just like a desperate try to make them look like they care.
The saying PvE problem = 24 hour fix, PvP problem = 24 weeks fix, doesnt come from nothing.
Just my 2 cents

Things will never be really balanced and have never really be balanced in any game with character progression. And while balance is far from perfect right now I would not say that there are many things that need to be hotfixed right away.
Except from monks any class has at least one spec that can be somehow competive, even rogues, as Samx showed last weekend. And monks at least have a good chance for RBG spots as healer.

PS: PvP will not be balanced until they stop prioritizing PvE balance, aka never. It is in a good spot right now however, considering it's only the first season of the expansion.

No I just told you to stop posting, if all you want to post is about hating wow and blizzard. We know Blizzard hasn't payed a lot of attention to arena, but tbh im happy to see them try.
They fixed something we requested, going into a sarcastic fit isn't going to help getting them to do that more often.

[background=rgb(244, 244, 244)]This. They don't hotfix classes in pve. You've never seen them suddenly change the amount of damage an elemental shaman does in pve, have you? They fix encounters - a much simpler task.[/background]

[background=rgb(244, 244, 244)]ps: By no means am I trying to defend Blizzard or say that they are doing a fine job balancing pvp, but blaming shit on pve and not giving them any credits for whatever little they might do for arena is bullshit. The fact that PvE is easier to fix and that this entire game was built on the foundation that players want to raid, should not mean that both pve and pvp cannot coexist with sufficient amount of resources funneled into both aspects. [/background]
