Blizzard 3v3 Tournament Delayed

I'm sure we were all expecting it after how terribly tonight went. Apparently they completely underestimated how many people would sign up and what their servers can handle. They will do some internal stress testing on the server to see if they can fix it, and if not, the issue may have to be patched. =/

The tournament servers are being brought down indefinitely until we can solve the lag issues players are experiencing. We will attempt to hotfix the issue tomorrow during extended maintenance. Depending on the results of our stress test, there is a chance that a hotfix will be insufficient and we will need to patch before the tournament will continue. We are actively working to track down the issue as quickly as possible. There is currently no ETA on when the tournament realms will return.

so when blizzard recieved 10+ million dolllars over a few days, i guess it didnt even cross their mind a bunch of people would want to play and not just pay?

They mysteriously started working amazing at like midnight pacific (probably a bunch of east coasters logging off). Continued to work great for another four hours and now I guess they're down for fixing.
