With the release of every expansion or season, including Mists of Pandaria, we've reset the Junkies User group and tweaked the access requirements to be in line with what actual player ratings were. A Junkie is either a grizzled veteran player that has achieved a Gladiator Title in the past or a player vying for a Gladiator Title in this current season. Throughout the seasons, the rating required for a Gladiator Title has varied a lot: some Battlegroups in season 2 had a cutoff as low as 2050, while seasons 8 and 9 saw cutoffs as high as 2700.

Based on current ladder rankings, we've decided to lower the Junkies rating requirement to 2200. This is intended to reflect current ratings players are achieving on the ladders, and to create a more reasonable expectation for players striving to become a Junkies.

This change should take effect over the next week, so please wait while the user groups update themselves!

Very good idea, very bad number. People who buy 2200 carries will now be able to post the entire season. Make the rating required be 2250, heck even 2225.

I would have went with 2300, but more activity is always good I guess.

The rating of 2200 is based on the same formula that AJ uses every season to determine the appropriate access rating.

Other changes, alongside this, are also likely to come though. This was just something where a switch could be flipped.

A step in the right direction
I'm not playing wow right now, but I still like this website so forgive me if my views seem outdated or wrong regarding the discussion. I simply want to contribute something to whatever is left of this community in hopes that others realize that this a public forum meant to support a community and not destroy it by continuously complaining and posting nonconstructive posts with gifs or negative/sarcastic shit meant to express superiority over other posters on the internet. Internet anonymity is unfortunately the detriment of this website and this community.

Agreed with some1 stating that a bare 2200 is a bit too low, 2250 or 2300 is the way to go

Agreed, it should've been 2250.

2200 is the place most people go just to get t2 weapons and then stop. As long as there is more moderation on troll posts it's cool though.
