PvP Season Begins October 2 and 3!

Official Blizzard Quote:

Prepare yourselves for battle as the bloody struggle between the Horde and the Alliance continues on Pandaria’s shores!

The first PvP season of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria begins tomorrow, October 2! Once realms have come back up from scheduled maintenance, Matchmaking (MMR), Team, and Personal Ratings will be reset and players will able to compete in level-90 Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds for the best PvP gear, items, and titles.

I'm happy to hear Matchmaking (MMR) was reset. To be honest I was a little worried that they wouldn't do this.

Season 12 should begin for EU on October 3 similar to other maintenance in the past.

As some of you have noticed, MMR did not reset today with the start of Season 12. This was indeed a last minute decision and we apologize for any confusion this has caused. < LOL

I don't get it. What are the benefits of choosing not to reset MMR? The start of an xpac should be a fresh start on everything, including mmr. What is their rationale for not wanting MMR reset..

My question is do all the bastards that got teams reset for wintrading still have a 2600 mmr?

Oh my fucking god at not reseting MMR.

Every time you think they will do the right thing for ONCE. They change it.

Sometimes I wonder if they do stuff only to piss people off.

Obviously - Who else would be able to do that? It's their game, it goes without saying they are the only one who can do something before anything even starts.
