Because they're smart.
So it turns out I've been using explosive shot rank 1 these last 3 weeks.

Blackout and Impact I can understand-but TNT currently also increases explosive shot crit chance by 9%.

I don't like RNG stuff like that any more than the next guy, but specifically with TNT, hunters are going to take a big hit (OMGLOLNERFHUNTARS, I know).  If they're going to do that, they need to find some REALLY good talent/skill for each class and remove it just to be fair-or they can just let the tourney play as things are now on live.

IMO, it's pretty stupid to host a tourney and effectively tell classes they aren't allowed to play a certain way just because the organization running it doesn't like it.

DKs aren't allowed to Rez Dead, so the two most imbalanced classes are nerfed a bit.

The difference is that:

-raise player ONLY raises the player
-blackout ONLY procs a stun
-impact ONLY procs a stun

TNT stuns but ALSO increases explosive shot crit %.

Again-nerf good talents/abilities for ALL classes, or don't remove any.

Beside-the only class this really impacts is hunters-no serious tourney team will have a shadow priest or mage with impact.

"RNG abilities" are quite abundant.  Imp water shield is "rng" because it has a 60% chance to proc with LHW.  Rune strike is "rng" because it procs on a parry or whatever.  Clearcasting is RNG.

They probably just meant RNG stuns.

every team besides RMhealer will have a hunter, so the TNT removal will effect every team equally =P

This has never been done before, and basically this is not the way to maintain balance. Yes, TNT should be fixed, but out right removing it is not the way to go. Warriors, druids and rogues have been dominating arena in BC aswell, no1 ever did anything there. Hunter hating is true I guess.

Indeed as said before, remove talents for all classes or don't do it at all. Basically they've just said "ok, we think hunters are OP so we'll just nerf  em by ourselves right now" which is pretty LOL tbh (eventho I bet I'm gunna get a lot of bad reactions now from all the hunter haters - which indeed admitedly is also to blame slightly on some hunters on this very forum.)

First tournament I won't be watching.

Except that part where disallowing TNT doesn't just get rid of the stun-it also reduces the crit % of explosive shot.  This rule adversely affects hunters more than priests or mages.

I lol'd

What can they do about TnT having 9% attached to it ?
They just removed all rng stun talents. That's it. They can't recode the game. Why didn't they do it previously? Well, maybe they didn't think of it, or they didn't think the game was THAT unbalanced (you do know, the three tournaments where actually good hunters competed, they a) were cheated out of a win (hamchook), b) made 2nd and c) won the tournament (both cherez), so maybe BC wasn't so imbalanced after all. Now look at WotLK
Hunters thinking everyone is racist against them is so funny tbh ^^

Quick update on the times. To make it easier for the US viewers, ESLTV will be re-airing the stream every night at 1:30PM EST or 19:30 CET.
