I'm surprised they are releasing this on time, as opposed to TBC which was delayed multiple times

It needs to be delayed.  Releasing WotlK in Nov will be a huge mistake.  If they do then all they care about is the money(obv lol).  Half the talents are broken, 3.0 just hit the PTR and there are major class balancing issues.  Rushing the release to Nov will end up as a major disaster.  They need to push it back to Jan or so.
Blizzard has officially announced that Wrath of the Lich King will officially be released on November 13, 2008. There are two versions that you can get. The version that will be terrible or the version that will be terrible but has a pretty box edition. The pretty box edition comes with these failures:

* World of Meleecraft: The Wrath of the Lich King on DVD-ROM.
* The Art of World of Meleecraft: Wrath of the Lich King, a 208-page book featuring never-before-seen images of a druid actually dying in an arena match.
* An exclusive in-game pet: Felhunter, the worthless sack of shit that dies instantly.
* A behind-the-scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews consisting of Kalgan talking about how he needs to buff Warriors so he can get his S5 weap week 1.
* The official soundtrack CD, containing 21 whimsical ass bags of shit to make your ears bleed.
* A mouse pad featuring a map to your local EBGames in order to buy Warhammer instead.
* Two World of Meleecraft Trading Card Game March of the Legion™ starter decks, so when you're bored out of your mind standing around in a another raid or waiting for paper rock scissors in arena you can play some faggy ass card game.
Fixed.

Shortest season ever?

Anyone else think that this is too early?  I mean they brought back Naxx because they released TBC too early and not many people got to see Naxx, aren't they doing the same thing with Sunwell?  Are they gonna bring back sunwell in the future expansion?

It's all about business dudes, always.

Mid November is the ~perfect~ time to get WoTLK out, to catch people bored of WAR and right before Xmas for all the kids.

Devs are something like 3 patches away from us, maybe they consider it'll be ready in two months.

I'm just curious to see if S4 will end with patch 3.02 or with actual wotlk.  My druid partner just hit 70 and is working his arse off to gear up, but I'm not sure he'll be there by then.

patch 3.02 will most likely not be the end of S4, so its gonna be fun to see how the the ratings change after the patch.
It is hard to stay mad when there is so much beauty in the world.

Don't think any wow player would disagree on that, however like Grombringal said. It's all about business. The longer they delay the expansion the more customers they will loose to WAR, simple as that. And quite frankly I think Blizzard cares more about keeping their customers for WOTLK than how TBC will look shortly before WOTLK with all the broken 3.0 talents fucking s4 up.

I was expecting Wotlk to come out jan-feb but because of this early release, I'm actually quite happy about it because that means SC2 will come out bit sooner,,,followed by D3.

I'm guessing that SC2 will come out next summer the latest and D3 by early 2010 latest.

It kinda sucks because I'm a huge fan of SC & D2 but since I don't really play any other games besides WoW, that kind of forces me to buy Wotlk. (I'm sure a lot of other ppl are in similar situation as I am) Damn you Blizz.
