Even if the idea is a noble project itself for people who wants it (Personnaly, nah, even now at 27y old with a job, i don't have that much time for this time consuming version), i think will be detroyed by the community itself.
For what i read on multiples forum, they are indeed the true Vanilla community. One part with candid people who really wants to see how it goes, and another one with elitists piece of shit like Alexensual or Kungen, spreading lies to influence the candid part.
The best example is about transmog, they don't want it on the vanilla server (Which is okay, there was no transmog back then, so, pure experience) but the reason is not the authenticity of the server, no no. The main reason is i quote "So i can see which player is a trash or not".
Nice example of the friendship of the Vanilla realms.
But props to them, this was exactly my experience.
Have you tried playing a young casual sp pvp back then?
People spitted on you all the time when it comes for PvE.
maybe they could have worded it better but they're not exactly wrong.
i started towards the end of bc, and whenever i saw something like a male tauren t6 prot warrior afking in shattrath i immediately stopped on my mount and just inspected him because it was cool as hell to see people with that kind of gear.
nowadays someone can have a slut mog and be full bis, it's just not the same feeling.
to whoever said that today's r1 players are a lot better than previous ones, you're right in regard to TBC / maybe wotlk rank 1s (some of them).
however go look at braindeadly, kollektiv, flubbah (and so many more) videos in cataclysm. hard to say those were worse than Fearless Gladiator guys from today (even if on alliance EU). S1 legion saw ret-hunter-healer who literally only spammed dmg and hoj-trapped the enemy healer every 30 sec get r1 without too much hassle.
(let alone people transfering to Horde after getting gladiator on ally, and ticketing for R1 and actually getting it from retarded GM rofl).
then again, the title never had that much meaning anyways. in a S8 backwater BG 12 teams shared rank one in 5v5 on 2611 rating, i clearly remember that (and I got gladiator on 2680 on misery) which means 60 players got Wrathful Gladiator on lower rating, on a worse bg. through the whole of cataclysm, countless people got 5v5 r1 on Vindication and shit like that.
in WoD S16, rank 1 went down from 2998 to 2840 due to the whole ladder being disqualified. list goes on.
to be fair, latest r1 players could probably be better than older rank 1s, but they can't even show it because they don't have the tools to "look" better than a duelist. really, is there a difference in term to individual skill? arenas look almost the same from 2400 up to 2900.
during last blizzcon, the winners showed papers where they had made charts and lists of what comps they should play against each enemy team according to the knowledge of THEIR comps. really..? they're amazing players (with history being at the top for years) but look at what they had to resort to.
there wasn't a warlock on NA that was as good as fabio was in s8 i don't think off the top of my head. maybe snutz
fast forward to legion this nigga is beastcleaving for blizzcon. what an xpac
Classes were fun in mop coz you could actually outplay people and do better than random joe.
Also "new wave" of r1 players are alot better than old r1 players, that should be pretty obvious considering game has been out for this long. Historically in every competitive game players get better over time (eg league, dota, cs, sc2, etc..)
You can even watch oldschool vides most "r1/pro players" were awful compared to current ones in terms of raw "skill" (not saying they were worse obv it was alot different playing game back then without everything already being explored/streams/youtubes/guides etc).
while i dont disagree with your point at all, another side that can be looked at is that most of the people who didn't get titles before mop and actively tried were just really bad players who needed their class to have 4 different 20% dps cds to line up.
players were absolutely worse but a lot can be said for teams that were dominant in their eras before the game was just cd trading and binary
Mind explaining why you think he is ruining league?
game is slowly becoming more heroes of the storm esque where one person has less and less power to carry, very very noticeable if you've played since the first season of the game.
heroes/champions get nerfed and nerfed while the only buffs they dish out are few and far between and are as minimal as legion buffs (random 5% stat buff to something irrelevant).
nerfed, reworked, or deleted any item that was particularly good for snowballing or just flat out strong early items because they didn't want noobs to just get dunked by someone a lot better
and every season they just make the talent trees in the game, which in my opinion shouldn't even be there, more and more absurd to try to readd some of that power but it's done so in ways that are horribly unhealthy for the game like thunderlords or old courage of colossus.
i could go on about this forever but that's the gist of it before i begin to rant
as much as i have loved league over the years and still do try to keep up with the esports scene (despite na being worse at league than at wow) it's hard as fuck to not just go play dota when i'm bored of world quests.
edit: this isn't me saying some noob shit like it's riot's fault that i'm not x rating. it is stil very possible to climb when you're better than you're current rating, but it is undeniably not the same as it was years ago. in the past you snowballed your lane advantage as hard as you could, now you spread your advantage across the map for your team's lanes and objectives for the sole reason one person can't 1v5 anymore. some may not like that and that's okay, but i always thought if you're better and ahead you should be able to 1v5 as a carry.
ghostcrawler designed s5 dk just sayin
in hindsight it was really easy to see why dks got a lot of the shit they did.
if you think about what dps classes got used in bc and which didn't, it was pretty obvious that you needed mortal strike to be relevant.
you can kinda see..or at least i can kinda see why they gave them so many absurd buttons. the only thing that was super troll was the self bres+ partner revive. the game was still really undeveloped and had all sorts of stupid shit by teh end of bc/early wrath.
the largest issue was that everyone said the numbers were way too absurd(during pvp) in ptr and beta and they didn't do anything but i can kinda understand why too. i had i think the US 4th guild on my server and i was talking to the guild leader in season 5 and he said dks were really bad as a class in pve environment (at the time). so nerfing them was a hard choice i imagine for them if they were struggling in the part of the game that 85% of their playerbase played exclusively
defending him aside that guy was a damn retard. slowly ruining league too, ruined age of empires
tried this server quite a bit during the ptr phase, looks promising. i will definitely try this out when i have more time again. how long does it take to get to 70 with 5x exp?
i saw some streamer streaming for 25 horus straight (starting on server launch) and he was 64, so im guessing about 2-3 days of above average time played
anyone know how to get target arena123 working on 2.4.3 tbc?
as far as i was aware that shit wasn't a thing and i don't think it worked in macros back then, most of that stuff came in wrath.
if anyone knows otherwise feel free to correct me
ure lying XD but whatever
just tell me the name of your imaginary brother then XD
ohh ure the guy who thinks resto druid isn't the best healer in the game
now I see where the delusional thinking comes from
ya lemme just give away a googleable name on a dead form for a game notorious for ddos and doxing nice idea
and i said the general census was druid was not the best on US at the time and later in the thread said it probably was
because most of the druids on NA are really bad. just gonna stop responding to you though this is making me more retarded
by the minute
atleast we dont make up things like playin the game "at the highest lvl" or having a brother who played at ti xddd
you're welcome to find any quote of me saying i was 'the highest level' at any of the before mentioned games.
i'm not lying about having a brother who played at multiple ti's. what can i possibly have to gain from some random euro on the internet. i truly don't care if you believe me or not, i just hoped it would be nice insight to your lack of wisdom but it is very clear you're not one to be influenced by anything.
keep doing you death knight
Why are Dota players always have this delusion of being better/smarter/more "hardcore" than any other moba player? I've played both at decently high levels there isn't anything special about it
constant need to defend their game from insecurity of smaller playerbase
dno every 3s game is dampening its so fucking boring you actually cant kill anyone doesnt matter what comp you play or what they play
maybe its just me having dogshit traits on every char
traits are really really big right now, game feels night and day in wargames.
meta is still fucking retarded though.
not sure why it's like that either. would games be fast if warrior/demo lock got nerfed? no idea
could possibly be resto druid being too strong since most damp comps have druid healer. would need other opinions
relentless has been gaining a lot of traction lately, especially if you're playing with some utility based third like ele/spriest/ret that can help out utility wise if you're in cc.
it's probably the go to for most of the games right now at least in my opinion as a druid.
adaption feels really bad, and for me at least it bugs out a lot and doesn't proc on things like a full trap even if it's up. i never know why.
you take trinket vs things that have win conditions like very quick 100 to 0 on someone like turbo where sitting a 3 second stun or something might be too late to help your team.
in 2s i usually always take trinket.
the only thing i can think of off the top of my head what adap might be okay into is something like tsg where every setup usually starts when you're hoj/legsweeped/asphyxiated/warrior feared or some shit
