Anyone know how templars play in PvP?

I was originally planing on going Sorc or Ranger, but I've always had a thing for sword and board. I was curious whether the templar was designed well when it comes to PvP; unlike other MMOs I've played.

They currently dominate 1v1s...or even some 2 or 3v1's....however its projected that they'll be nerfed first :P

Do they generally take less damage than they give out, or do they have some way to protect/tank for their team mates? 'cause if it's jsut like playing a high shield block value prot pally/warrior in WoW, I'll stick with my sorc/ranger

They got the death grip and stunlock, but they dont hit that hard.

Your job in pvp is to peel for your team and lock someone in place to get nuked.

Not sure about levels but just be aware that he has more or less the best gear in the game.
