Caster vs Melee

Are their major differences between them in terms of balance? In TBC melee dominated. Kinda same in wotlk (2v2 atleast). For this reason im sorta hesitant to roll a sorc, I basically in every MMO roll the class closest to a mage but not so sure this time...
Sorc vs. Sin vs. Cleric, which would be best solo? and in groups. My brother is going to roll a warrior-gladiator so Id prolly want the class the plays best w/ gladiators.
So uh basically would a caster limit a person versus playing a melee class and which of the following three would work best w/ a gladitaor

To answer, in short, this isn't Wow arenas. Your best bet on a class with a Gladiator is going to be Cleric.

Sorcs have a few stuns to interrupt heals, and you do retarded pressure.

LOS is still an issue for casters however.

are sorcs better in both of the two regards listed aboveProbably about the last time I was in a bg and said "Fuck it's [insert class]," which would have been a long ass time ago. Maybe, "Fuck there's a gladiator 3v3 team in my BG right behind me, and all of them have me targetted, fuck fuck fuck," but not a specific class, no. If you have your head screwed on right in BGs, you should be able to avoid any deaths caused by a single class out of virtue of pure #s.

That said, keep in mind that Aion isn't balanced around as small of a PvP scenario as WoW (to the extent WoW is balanced, ha). At least yet, that is.

Did you see magic ressist gear in action? How is it working? It can reduce magical damage or just higher chance to fully resist spell?

It reduces magic damage taken.

You can work around it easier in Aion than you can in WoW, from my understanding. I'll find out as I level a bit more in C-Aion probably. Also a video I made on my Sorc at lvl 26 vs a Cleric: (slightly higher lvl I think but not certain)

Basically at lvl 26 as a Sorc you have 2 things that can be used as consistant interrupts. 1 is your Ice Chain, then 2nd spell in the chain is a knockback. 2nd is Sleep on a 15 sec cd. You can also get your spell to turn people into a tree at 20, but I didn't have it yet since it's fuckin expensive.

Melee will 3 hit anyone if your not another melee. I dueled a Glad at the same level (16) and I rape him if he never reaches me, but if he does reach you, you die before you can do anything. Seems more caster friendly tho, bcos alot of my spells are short casts or instants.
