Hi all,
Our guild has begun early recruitment for Aion and this seemed like a decent place to advertise. Currently our roster consists of ~10 people that were previously in the guild for WoW and ~15 more friends of those people that will be joining us.
In WoW we were a "hardcore raiding guild," in Aion we will be putting a stronger emphasis on creating a friendly and fun atmosphere for people to play in, doing away with our previous mentality of just creating a hardcore group of players merely capable of working together (without being concerned about any social interaction).
We will likely focus on both PvE and PvP. It is uncertain at the moment how end-game PvE will work in Aion, most people only know WoW raids and it may or may not resemble that, but however it presents itself we are looking to tackle any content the game has available for us. Our current player base also consists of many heavily PvP oriented players, including at least 10 gladiator caliber players and some more than that (omg red eyes).
If this sounds like something that may interest you, we are looking for mature and skilled players to join us. Both of those traits in bold are equally important. We are not looking for the kind of PvPers always looking to trash talk or stir up drama, but we are also only recruiting highly skilled players (just being a nice guy isn't enough either!). If you think this description fits you please visit us at www.voodooguild.net to find out more. Applications at this time do not need to be lengthy, we just need to see evidence that you are the kind of person we are aiming to recruit.
Thanks for reading.
Edit: Just a fair warning to anyone reading this thread for the first time now, I will just quote one of my posts on our forum.
Just to reiterate on this subject, we have received many more applications than we originally anticipated (almost 100 in less than a month). If you do not receive a reply to your thread please do not be offended, as we have almost stopped all form of recruitment at this point, with the exception of a few players who come from a background of very high level PvE or PvP (top 10 PvE in the world, Merciless Gladiator players, etc.).
If you do not fit in one of those categories but still wish to join, there is still hope. When the game is getting closer to launch we will announce on this forum which server we will be choosing. If you do not find a new guild to join before then, you should still consider rolling on the same server as us. Once we are actually in the game and actively involved with potential applicants it will be much easier to judge players we would like to recruit. Things that would stick out to us at that time would include people who are fast to level, people with high abyss rankings (similar to the original honor system in WoW), or just people we happen to enjoy grouping with.
If your application goes unanswered now, but you still choose to level up to 50 on our server and then resubmit your application, that will stand out to us as an extreme amount of dedication. And unless there is another guild or group of players you would consider playing with instead of us, it shouldn't do much harm in choosing our server instead of just randomly choosing another. We will also attempt to choose what we think will be one of the most popular and competitive servers.
