Making alt: Shaman?

This rogue is my only char right now and I wanna make an alt.

After reading through the wow forums it seems like shamans are REALLY gimp in arena. I plan on going elemental for arena but after browsing the wow shaman forums, it seems like shamans are too gimp to get high ratings.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Ofcourse shamans arent too gimp to reach high ratings, its definitely harder as a shaman/warrior to reach to then a druid/warrior but its doable. also elemental is not really viable for 2's and 3's.

Elem is musthave in 5v5, outside of 5v5 shamans lacks potential.

Resto shamans made it high rated in 2v2 and 3v3 though.

How are shamans doing in mana wars? Do they run out fast like moonkins? Or can they keep up with resto druids, disc priest, and holy pallies?
