Question about the arena "0.5%"

I was wondering if some teams were ignored (like the ones that are at 1500 and have never played)

I thought there was like 8000-9000 3v3 teams in my battlegroup which would mean 0.5% = 40-45 teams hit gladiator, but recently my friend found a team with a rating of 999 and their rank was like 15000th (anyways that's what he says)

So assuming that there's 15000+ 3v3 teams in my battlegroup, can I expect over 75 teams to get their gladiator tag in 3v3 or not?

That many? So top 150 2v2 teams will get glad? That's hardly 2060ish. That feels attainable. Where did you get that figure?

There’s a 2v2 team in the Shadowburn Battlegroup that’s ranked 27,000 something(they lose every match on purpose) so that’s around 135 teams its to easy to get a title now, they need to cap it somehow.

I found a team rated 1187 with standing 28456 a week ago. That would put a fair estimate at about 29000, and 28500 to be safe. Which is about 2060 rating, though I wouldn't imagine it'll stay like that when people powerlvling other teams and whatnot focus on their own, as well as some new people making the push, but I'd guesstimate that about 100 points less than last season's requirement for 2v2 will get gladiator this season.

roughly 4 weeks later, due to my internet being almost too retarded, were 2131, ranked 30th and now top 50 teams are getting it

You had much less competition back then, though, so it is fair. I didn't reach lvl 70 until the last 2 weeks of Season 1, and I'm sure many people were in the same boat.

The fact that you can get gladiator for all 3 classes doesn't mean that its "bad," it merely means you are good enough of a player to dominate with three different classes against the rest of the competition.
