so im leveling up my hunter and gonna start gearing him for arena. just did tame a scorpion pet and was wondering what abilities and skills or w/e should i be teaching it?

The above post is correct. Depending on what level your Hunter is, though, I would suggest picking up a Boar as you level. You'll regret it if you do not, for two reasons.

1) Boars are amazing levelling pets
2) Boars are great in PvP (disruption of autorun = rape), and there are no boars higher than level 60 in Outland to be tamed.

ya i was leveling with a boar but since i just hit 68 i tamed a scorpion from smv, thanks for the input as well!

To prevent your pet from being slept/nova'd.

Giving him the third highest shadow resist is the best because if you do 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 with a priest he should have shadow protection, and I doubt the other teams priest is going to waste the GCD's and mana to dispell your pet.

im also just noticing my scorpion already has rank 5 fire resist. did that use up his points or is it just a bonus?? and also , what is the max amount of points your pet gets?

it comes w/ 5 fire resist, but when u respec ur pet, that will go away. it is like u put 5 fire resist on ur pet.

i run 2s w/ a druid, highest on our server now, so no shadow protection on the pet

Another reason SR is least important for your pet is because odds are, you'll have a bit of SR gear anyways, and he gets a portion of that.

Scorpids are getting nerfed where the psn won't be doing disgusting ammts of dmg, but it will still protect your viper stings.
