Dual Shankers vs Shanker+Shiv

OK so I'm probably gonna pick up some daggers for mutilate, but I've been seeing most top mutilate rogues, who should be capped out on points, using shanker/shiv rather than going dual shankers.

Other than lower shiv energy cost, whats the reasoning behind going shanker/shiv instead of dual shankers?

It's mostly because in PvE it's a push between more Deadly Poison procs and the higher Mutilate DPS. In arena you're going to get more Crippling procs (so you have to Shiv less often) and your Shiv costs less. Oh, and more attacks is more push-back vs. casters. I can't really think of any other reason.

Very minuscule difference in damage.

Go with the shiv.

Mongoose adds a lot more damage than the +7 damage enchant.
