So i decided to try something new this season, and run a S1 setup again.

5v5 - Double Pally/ Double MS war/Me (Ele shaman)

We do well against most teams, priests are proving a pain.We seem to be able to do reasonable burst on any target but priests, but with our two paladins it's hard not to try and lock them down. When we finally do decide to burst them, it's rather lac lustre, my damage seems pretty good (6k+ within 3-4 seconds) but we just can't seem to get them down fast enough. I'm dropping windfury and purging anything important off... anything i could be doing to perhaps increase our chances of a win?

Team that farmed us for a few games last night - Double rogue, double disc priest, resto druid.

Also, i'm pretty much a sacrifice every game, a meatshield. Resil capped (With the flash of light resil buff), los'ing any chance i get, shocking heals, usually with rank 1 since i've been burned.

to be honest, for the same reason you mentioned (being a meat shield), being resto would probably help you.

Resto shaman just make better meatshields.

Yeah i've thought about it, but i've only got my Ele gear for PvP - All my resto gear is T4/SSC/TK non set items.

We did this season one and got 2nd place with it. But this was on a battle group which when s1 ended lurker was the farthest any got.

That being said to be competitive at higher levels you will need to have BT gear. Full t6 pallys and 4/5glad warriors with BT dps weps, all flurry spec will rock things. The weakest point in the combo by far is the shaman, You will need to be resto or your just hurting yourself. And full pvp gear. More then not you will be the focus target for sure, and if you aren't then they just gave you a free win.

But in all honesty I loved playings this combo because me the shaman, took skill, made me better and was loads of fun to play.

And the warriors love you. (what warrior doesn't want to just be giant DPS monsters)

<why did they remove s1/s2 in you're char's info?>

you dont need BT gear as a resto shaman in your setup....you need the PvP gear.

You dont really need BT gear to be competitive. You just need to play well.

Also Paladin x2 / Warrior x2 / Ele. Shaman | Is kind of a meh setup. I think you would probably be better off picking up a good Priest and just having you spec Restoration. 3 Healers and 2 Warriors. It doesnt sound ideal but can actually work very well. Maybe even you as Elemental, but you would most likely be controlled more as Ele than Resto. Decreasing your chances to be able to drink and stand freely really.

If your Warriors can keep constant pressure on the other healers forcing them into healing and not mana burning, running around, dispelling, etc etc. You can find yourself competing in the top of your bracket.
