So last night we were rolling along stomping people like usual until we ran into this team. Holy Priest, Pali, Marks Hunter, Druid, Warrior. Our first instinct was to drop the druid. We got kited through the hunters frost trap(he had entrapments as well) and while we almost killed him couldn't close the deal. During this time the priest burned away every one's mana. 2nd match, we went for the priest this time. Once again got kited do to the hunters frost trap, only this time as the warrior I spent a good half the match either cycloned or rooted in place. One time I watched the priest drink up about 4k mana within about 20 feet of me...just out of los for a throw. My instinct now is to drop the hunter and have everyone try and stack on him as much as possible. I am not sure if this will be doable do to the frost trap with entrapment. Each game was close, but I am still steaming and unsure of who the focus should be. We run Warrior, Pali, Holy Priest, Frost Mage, Ele shaman. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I run a similar line up for 5's, hybrid lock/resto drood/hybrid priest/holy pally/warrior mana burn. Have you tried splitting your dps? ie: Warrior on the priest and mage/shaman on the druid with CC on the pally. If the hunter is using a scorpion it's probably best to kill that first b/c it's the only reason hunters can mana burn really. Either way it's a strong set up, we've only ran it for a week and we're over 2k and probably 2100 by tus. The main theme of these teams is mana burn so if you can shut down the hunter's ability to mana burn and keep the war on the priest you might be better off.

If hunters are played correctly they can cause serious problems to teams that rely on melee as their main source of dps output.. I find it funny sometimes reading wow forums and the constant whine about how hunters suck etc etc, but some people really need to wake up and realise that a hunter can contribute to a 5v5 np
