View Full Version : Which presences to use in PvP?

Obviously you're going to be switching to frost when you get swapped onto but I'm interested in blood vs. unholy. A 1 sec GCD seems like it would scale very well with DKs but blood does add 15% damage.

What do you guys think about the presence you should be using normally?

Probably Unholy unless I have some sick PvE gear in a BG.

Can get that from unholy aura for 2 points in the unholy tree.

I think its going to be a playstyle and beyond that, spec choice. If your going deep unholy and unholy aura is a possibility than blood is obviously a choice. However if your deep frost and cant get unholy aura your probably gonna want to use unholy presence for the speed increase.

unholy...mainly for the GCD reduction. PvP is very dynamic and it really helps to unload your burst a lot faster, also it saves you 2 talent points if your unholy

You may still consider picking up unholy aura for your teammates, but that will largely depend on your comp.

It really depends on the comp you are running. In 2s (i've played 2 dps 2v2 mainly) blood was far more valuable as the increased dmg was the make or break of many games (I played the first week or so as Unholy).

In 3s I've also gone blood because we had a healer with us and we weren't trying to zerg someone fast so it was better for me on the long run. When I tried 3 dps zerg unholy was better though as I had to do a lot of peeling off our warlock at the beginning of the match.

It is important to remember that your runes have a CD of 10 sec and that your mind freeze if off the GCD when trying to decide.
