I've had it not get rid of roots or CoEx a couple times and maybe other things. Anyone else get anything like this?

What does Imp spring do exactly? I've never heard of it. Does it make you jump higher or something?

I know for sure that it doesn't consistently remove roots. I'm not sure why.

The roots thing is probably from the 30% chance to resist dispel Druids get from the Subtlety talent.

Improved Sprint Rank 2
Gives a 100% chance to remove all Movement Impairing effects when you activate your Sprint ability.
Keyword being remove, which would imply that it should ignore dispel resist effects... This is obviously not the case though.

Whether it should or not is matter of your interpretation. Poison resist in mutilate tree has always diminished the effect of abolish poison, so has subtlety reduced the effect of sprint. It's a general game mechanic that holds true in most part of the game.

Sprint has definitely failed to remove Entangling Roots for me once or twice recently, I even checked over the logs to make sure it wasn't just a lightning-quick reapplication. I have had Improved Sprint for a long time and don't remember ever seeing it fail before 2.3, so I too feel like it has changed.

It comes down to how the skills/talents are categorized. Abolish Poison states that it 'attempts', it's a magic dispel, which brings magic resist rates into it. Imp. Sprint is not flagged as a dispel modification, nor lists dispel among its effect.

Thats pretty ironic, because in fact, Abolish poison has for a long time (Or so alot of credible sources say) completely disregarded resistance to dispell effects.

In other word its generally said that Vile poisons (the talent which gives resistance to poison dispelling in the first place) is bugged against abolish poison, and does not work, at all.

And i dont know how anyone can argue Improved sprint should not remove snare effects? its a 2 point talent that clearly states "Gives 100% chance to remove snare effects"

It doesnt say "gives 100% chance to roll checks against dispell resists so you can remain entangled and raped" in that case the talent would simply be bad

if you look at thottbot it's actually classified as a dispel effect instead of an immune effect like vanish.

Dispel Mechanic: Root

vs.

Immune Mechanic: Root

Personally I think this is really fucking stupid if you consider that sprint is a 5 minute cooldown (3.5 talented) and abolish poison and every other dispel effect in the game (except devour magic) has no CD. Really this is just a case of a misleading tooltip.

Either they need to change the tooltip to "Attempts to dispel all movement impairing effects" or they need to make it "Immune Mechanic: Root" and "Immune Mechanic: Snare"

The "100%" and "Remove" in the tooltip is definitely misleading.

Except at the moment abolish poison is NOT affected by vile poisons, making it the greatest skill in the game.
