Meta gem for resto shaman

I just need to know what's a good meta gem to have for resto shaman..I have a shaman alt and just grabbed the s3 headpiece now I need to know what is best for all arena teams (2v2 3v3 and 5v5).

I use 18sta/5 stun resist. The stun resist is really clutch when it happens, best thing we can get from a metagem IMO.

I'd go for the 18 sta/5% stun resist gem, nothing amazing but there's no better choices.
They could add some proper PvP healing meta... Like surpassing MS effects by x%.

It's still very very good when it does proc.

When i finish upgrading my gear i'll be sitting around 11k life 10k mana so the 18 stam won't be that useful, the only thing you get is 5% stun resist. A 5% chance to make your healing wave (without heroism/bloodlust) 1.25 second cast is incredible, in my opinion. I'm sticking with MSD still.

Its even 15% to proc now iirc :P i prefer MSD as well,dont realy feel like i need more stamina and msd can be awsome when it procs at the right time.msd ftw :)

I was thinking about the Inisightful Earthsotrm Diamond how is that? The one that restores mana on spell cast - I was thinking about getting that and just spam like watershield whenever I have time for mana efficiency

PvE gem only imo.

Go with the MSD, once you get it you won't want to go back.

The only time you should spam water shield is when you're oom or being spam dispelled/purged and running away.

I switched to MSD sometime during S2 and have been using it ever since, my only complaint is the gem requirements it has. You can't really socket yellow/orange gems without breaking the requirements for MSD or also socketing a bunch of blues which is a waste imo. The gem from heroic sethekk is really nice if you end up running with a MSD (11 healing/6 stam).

I really only play 5v5 though, the 18 Stam/5% Stun resist meta becomes a lot more attractive in 3v3 and 2v2 where you're a lot more likely to end up tanking people. I keep a second helm with the earthstorm and end up switching around between it and my MSD helm depending on who I seem to be getting whenever I do play 2's/3's.

I have no idea what problems you have with gemming your gear.
