Arena Season Point Transition

I'm curious about point spillover for the next Arena season. I know that as it stands the point cap is set to 5000. However, I've heard rumours indicating that despite that cap, at most 1500 points will be shuffled into Season 3. Can anyone confirm this?

I ask here because I figure if anyone will know for certain, it will be players who frequent this forum.

I highly doubt they will let up to 1500 points be rolled over into the next season. That wouldn't be fair at all. Then again, I haven't heard anything about this.

I have heard nothing about a change to the cap. I would assume 5000 will roll-over to s3.
