We require teams to have a 3on3-rating of at least 2,000 on Blizzard's live-servers but teams with notable success in other online- or offline-tournaments may apply even without said rating.

sigh~

It's good that they're finally using rating as an indicator but then they make exceptions for people in previous offline tournaments. :/

Oh well. Sounds neat, hopefully there's a stream.

Well that's retarded. What's the point of even having an online qualification ladder if they're requiring a live rating?

I applied for this junk and took them like forever to respond.

The response I got just said we have recieved your junk and will let you know if you got in.

So idiots and scrubs dont join the toury and waste peoples time; spamming "LF TEAM IM 2600 ON LIVE PST" on /2.

I've heard that the head admin is out sick so the servers aren't up and teams haven't gotten their account info yet.

But all we've received is the ...

"First of all thank you for your interest in the Intel Extreme Masters!

Your application regarding the North American online qualification was received and we will inform you in case your team is accepted to participate in the competition."

I figured there would be another email that would of went out, regardless of the server status.

haven't heard any news but I did find this

ESL|Shawn: We are currently thinking about a tournament-mode that can feature 30 or more teams. We are in contact with some of the best European teams and keep an eye on the rankings in the most competitive battlegroups. We might have a sign-up period so teams can apply to take part in the tournament. Basically the more teams are interested in taking part in it the better.

from curse.com

so 30 or more teams

I was just under the impression that anyone over 2000 could join/play on it for top spots

edit: old information apparently

Guess not, lawl.

probably better that way

where you have scheduled matches instead of massive farming overnight and having to play a ridiculous amount

I like the tourny feel in this regard opposed to a ladder

Dear contender,

thank you again for your interest in the Intel Extreme Masters Season 3!

I am happy to tell you that you and your team were accepted to participate in the North American WoW Qualifier. After two weeks of delay due to technical issues and the kick-off event in Germany going on we will release information regarding rules tomorrow afternoon (European time) and will finally start the first phase of our competition.

What I need from you right now is a choice if you are planning to play Alliance or Horde. We will provide all participating players with exactly one account with premade characters to prevent the creation of several arena-teams on the tournament server. These are the class/race-combinations that we can provide you with:

Alliance:
- Dwarf Paladin (male)
- Dwarf Priest (male)
- Nightelf Druid (female)
- Draenei Shaman (female)
- Gnome Warrior (male)
- Human Rogue (female)
- Dwarf Hunter (female)
- Gnome Mage (female)
- Gnome Warlock (male)

Horde
- Bloodelf Paladin (female)
- Undead Priest (female)
- Tauren Druid (male)
- Orc Shaman (male)
- Tauren Warrior (male)
- Undead Rogue (male)
- Troll Hunter (male)
- Undead Mage (female)
- Undead Warlock (male)

Please simply answer to this email with 'Horde' or 'Alliance' so we can provide you with your accounts as soon as possible.

Best regards,
David 'Shawn' Kugelmann

question:
can u play on a diff team than what u signed up with? like different players that are on the server? with diff classes etc?
since we have to make teams with a charter and all...
