3v3 disc troubles.

I'm in a group with a frost mage and rogue in 3v3. After a long time in holy/disc I respec'ed (after reading a lot of positive reviews for 2.3) to heavy disc and gave it a shot, and so far I am... troubled.

The thing is, my healing output is lessened considerably, my survival is noticeably worse, and I lack SoR for those he-dies-I-die scenarios that used to give us an edge.

What gives? Am I undergeared (430ish max resilience atm), am I just unused to the spec that everybody seems to be loving and it's just a matter of more practice, or is the 3v3 format not the one for it? It's just odd reading about others considering it OP and I'm wondering if I should switch back.

You should have seen an increase in your own survivability upon speccing into Discipline.

Your spec could use a lot of work; you'd see a gain in survivability if you moved the points in Holy Specialization, Inspiration, Enlightenment, and Reflective Shield elsewhere.

Wonder is right - the reason you're seeing a drop in survivability is definitely your spec.

^^^is the way to go - I've noticed my survivability go up quite a bit and while my healing numbers ARE a bit lower, PS really helps.

I prefer this versus the spec Wonder linked. I guess it's just preference, really.

I don't see my PW: Fort getting dispelled so often that I don't want improved PW: Fort. And I need Holy Nova. I can't stand not having it. 1/3 Blessed Recovery is more purge bait with Focused Will stacks, etc.

EDIT: LOL, I need to either leave my 2's team that we recently made that I don't think I'm leveling to glad because queue times are awful. Man, that looks bad over there. Also, update 3's!
