DK 2s/3s combos

Haven't really seen this discussed in-depth anywhere. I've been having debates with teammates about what 2s and 3s combos will work best with DKs. 2s is pretty tough to figure out, but I'd imagine double dps will probably be the preferred setup with DKs, particularly those that are Blood spec'd.

Basically, looking at running one of the following:

Holy Pally/Warr/DK
R.Druid/Rogue/DK
Spriest/Mage/DK
Spriest/R.Druid/DK

Hysteria could work out pretty well with a rogue due to a rogue's survivability (cloak, evasion, no extra damage taken, etc). DK's assist healing and own survivability could open it up for healer hybrid builds (ie DS druid). On the other hand, Blood DKs and MS warriors will probably have really good synergy, perhaps the best of any DK/melee combo.

Anything at this point will be pure speculation and theorycrafting, but I'm curious as to what other setups people were thinking about running.

For 3s, MS warrior, holy Pally, DK

Ebon plague, misery and shadow vul, Coe.

Diseases that do shadow damage and scourge strike dealing direct shadow dmg.

It seems likely they may not stack, but its hard to say at this point.

Blue has made posts about Death Knight raid utility, and they certainly bring up concerns about melee haste stacking and spell vulnerability stacking with other classes. They have not said for sure whether or not it will or will not stack, but it seems unlikely.

Another thing to keep in mind is what constitutes magic vulnerability?

You have imp scorch and winter's chill effecting frost/fire/arcane now.
You have one curse effecting frost/fire/shadow/arcane
You have a balance druid de buff effecting nature and arcane.
You have misery effecting all magic.
You have ebon plague effecting all magic.

What all stacks?

Why hasnt anyone mentioned frost dk / frost mage / resto shaman ?

You can't CC it, the DK will keep insane personal pressure, you have the mage for insane bursts snares and control, you can't get CCd because of Spirit Link, shaman healing is amazing, 3 interrupt classes, CS + Strangulate = 12 seconds of shutup, followed by grounding/shock, all this while the DK is technically the tank and immune to nukes, the mage has ice block, DK can grip/strangulate a burst away.

I could go on forever, only thing it lacks is MS, but with all the utility you have, the insane burst damage if shaman adds damage aswell, you don't need MS if shit dies within 2-4 seconds of full silence time on a healer :o


You also have shadowplay teams, restodruid/restosham - Unholy DK - Warlock, I dunno it sounds like a very powerful setup, esp. with DK dots being able to crit, the built in windfury and the armor penetrating features of scourge strike, necrosis. You also have ghoul utility and burst of self destruct oO

I don't know if double melee will be as viable as it is right now, to be completely honest. We'll have to wait and see, but I can see RMP completely destroying that setup.

Priest dispells all the shaman's HoTs/ES, rogue annoys the shaman (LOLUCANTCAST) and mage/priest can probably solo the other 2 guys really easily.
