A post by a Warlock from my old server. Very skilled player, his 2v2 team was legitimately 300 rating above the next-highest team.
I've given up on Merciless Gladiator; I'm simply not willing to exploit my way up to the top. I will say now though, if I lose Gladiator because of a half-dozen teams exploiting into range, I fully intend on cancelling my account.

Dob't forget that GMs != Blizzard. This just mean that the people in charge haven't told the GMs that this is illegal.
Hopefully they are still looking into it =/

Yeah it's stupid that some people are doing this. I personally don't support point bouncing. I hope the people who do that kind of thing just remember how they earned it: By not being able to obtain it in the first place, and play non-legitley.

You know, even that the druid on that screenshot might be wintrading or whatever he does to get rank1, i'm pretty sure that screenshot was "faked". And by "faked" (notice the "? cookie!) i mean that he probably just put some ticket in about how he plays arena or some trick, cos lets be honest, you dont really see the ticket, only the gm answering. I highly doubt any gm would say theyre impressed by wintrading. Although I might be wrong I dont really think so since blizz stated they take wintrading very seriously, just giving you a heads up that the ticket maybe wasnt about exploiting to get the rating up.
That GM should be reprimanded for discussing that with the player, let alone condoning it. It's exploitation, plain and simple.

I'm guessing the screenshot's not about the issue, or else there wouldn't be parts of the conversation cut out.

I have not checked other battle groups but this is also a problem on shadowburn. Just browse the rankings by server and notice all of the bugged out members with the wins and losses before they switched teams.

I'm starting to think you're right, though I'm disappointed Blizzard still hasn't addressed the issue.

3v3 on vindication it littered with this.
thankfully, only a couple of teams have pulled this stunt in 5v5. Its sad really. And makes me hate the game in a way.

in our battlegroup (eu-nightfall) the former number one team got disbanded by GMs after win trading.

yea bro, Tbh, People in the top 15 right now have dodged a huge bullet as only a few teams have win traded in our bracket, But I'd hate to be on vindication 2v2 or 3v3. 5v5 on our BG seems pretty damn legit.

I am 100% positive win trading is actionable and the team WILL be disbanded if it is investigated and determined to be win trading. I personally helped report a team in our old battlegroup in season 1 before we transferred and the team was disbanded and the members recieved no arena points for that week (this was before everyone had full arena gear so the points mattered. I'd have liked to see them completely stripped of points and arena gear, but at least they got busted).
They reformed under the team name Win Traders and complained about getting busted on the forums, then proceeded to get stomped into the ground by legitimate teams at the high end and disappeared off the radar last I heard of them.
Just keep trying and have friends try, maybe you'll eventually get a GM that's not a worthless retard.

Dunstock should be reported for wintrading, we played them tonight in 3s and they practically laid down in front of me........ jp =P

seriously thought, blizz should take care of this fast.
Shadowburn, is littered with this in 2v2 and 3v3, my team was 2v2 #2 and 3v3 #2 at one point only to be behind a 100 point deficit because of teams that made 2/3 teams and farmed them. The only bracket that is legit on shadowburn is 5v5.. thankfully we are 100+ points ahead of anyone right now :)

Great post Yakooki, I'm sure you can give tips on the how-to. I really don't understand why folks would do this for a graphically altered netherdrake.
Cikah, I don't think the #1 spot on Shadowburn 3v3 is illegitimate right now, Superpaul's team doesn't do win trading. The fact there's suddenly three near 2700 2v2 teams just screams of win trading, though. Seriously where did those teams even come from?

Superpaul's team doesn't do win trading.
I played him throughout the day in 2v2 yesterday, he was on 3 different teams and each new one started at low rating. If he's not setting up to farm the merciless title then what is he doing? Selling gladiator titles? With the same paladin who was the most flagrent abuser I saw of the sit-macro-drinking bug when it existed, and now is reduced to abusing the ooc-heal-and-drink-in-combat bug now that the bigger bug is fixed. I dunno why people love this guy so much, there's nothing lovable about any of that.
