Probably a lot of repeat info here. But just thought I would give a quick summary from my perspective.

Equipment
You start with an assortment of Green Plate Armor. No Trinkets and No Weapon. The quests that follow provide a full set of Blue Armor. A Blue Two Handed Sword. A Blue Relic. 2 Blue Rings. And 2 Blue Trinkets all by level 57.

Mount
One of the first quests available to you unlocks your 100% mount (yes at Level 55 - and the quest is extremely easy).

Runeforging
Essentially your first quests provides you with you first weapon and teaches you Runeforging. Runeforging is essentially enchanting your weapon. You can change your Rune whenever you like as long as you are at a rune forge. The Runes first available to you are:

Rune of Cinderglacier (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53341)
Rune of Frostfever (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53343)
Rune of Lichbane (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53331)
Rune of Spellbreaking (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53342)
Rune of Swordbreaking (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53323)
Rune of the Fallen Crusader (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=53344)

Talent Points
You start with 0 talent points available. Talent points are awarded as you complete quests (1-2 a quest). Until you are caught up to your level.

Spells
You begin with 5 Spells:

Blood Presence (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=48266) (Stance)
Blood Strike (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=45902)
Death Grip (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=49576)

Icy Touch (http://www.wowdb.com/spell.aspx?id=45477)

Skills
You start with all your skills at 270.

Axes
Polearms
Swords
Two-Handed Axes
Two-Handed Swords

Initial Notes/Impressions
The DK starting zone is very well thought out and fun. You'll complete quests for the Lich King as you acquire your mount, armor, jewelry, and catch-up talent points.

55-56 Took me a brief 1hr and 40 minutes.

I was a few bubbles into 57 before having all the DK starting quests completed and moving into Eastern Plaguelands.

These starting quests give you a control of siege weaponry and a glimpse into aerial combat. Another new thing is that your progression through the quests will actually change the environment around you. For instance - after you complete quests destroying a nearby town the town is overrun by Ghouls and on fire for the remainder of your time there. Pretty cool.

Playing the class you certainly feel like a Hero class. You can lay the smack down.

So far its a really fun class. And I'm convinced I'll be re-rolling at launch.

Been loving it as well, with the holy changes I may stick with my paladin, but we'll see once beta gets fine tuned.

Some questions about Runeforging:
- What do the runes procc off/don't proc off?
- How often do they proc? Approximate proc chance/internal CD?
- What are the Frostfever and Lichbane damage parts based on? AP?

Runeforging works exactly like enchants on your weapon. They proc off melee specials and autoattacks.

They proc about as much as mongoose/crusader, no internal CD.

Frostfever is being removed as it is being integrated with Icy Touch. Lichbane does not work atm.
