Hey everyone,
I'm currently pushing to gladiator with a warrior and almost the only thing stopping us is game after game after game of shadow priest/warlock teams that we're having a tough time with.

It's pretty much *the* counter to warrior/paladin from what I've seen.

Currently we try to...
1. I run in first and JoR/Shock the priest's shield down.
2. Warrior gets on the priest to try shut him down and interrupt a mass dispel.
3. Warrior tries to fear the Felhunter and I try to stun it, to increase the amount of time we have before I need to Divine Shield.
4. I divine shield and spam heal the warrior.

Basically... if the priest is down by the time Divine Shield is wearing of, we've won. Unfortunately, he usually is not dead.

Playing the LoS game doesnt seem to work, since usually these things are undead and don't mind using their trinkets on a hamstring to get around to us to mess us up (WotF ftl).

Is there any way for us to beat this team? Seems like you can't even take the time to kill the pet (though that isn't much time) because dots are ticking everywhere and they have a ridiculous amount of CC for me.

Any strategies out there that have a decent shot at beating this setup with a warrior/paladin?
Thanks

Your warrior will need to switch to defensive and shield reflect quite a bit. Having him intervene you near or out of LoS during their CC->burn is very effective. And kill the felhunter.

IMO, considering I did Mage/Warlock, and it uses the same strats against Warrior/Pally... just have the Warrior go defensive until the SP is low on Mana.

Only a REALLY good SP/Lock team would conserve their huge burst and Mana for when the Warrior is NOT in defensive stance.

Basically play defensivly, shield bash anything the SP casts, time spell reflects against Shadow Bolts and unavoidable Mind Blasts. And do NOT stop healing. If you heal reactivly, you'll lose. You can't wait till he's at 80% to start healing, they want that. You have to keep healing all the way, keeping HPS over DPS, and the Warrior at 100%. If they blow their CS while he's at High HP, it won't matter.

If your warrior gets in a bad spot, and he's at like 50% hp and you don't have a huge heal 100% coming to him, he better intervene to you and LoS spam. They won't stop going for him, so don't worry about them getting OOC and drinking.

That's just my input, though.

We went against a few 2.1-2.2k rating shadow priest/warlock combo and honestly the best way we deal with it is to get on the warlock to stop the fears.. Yes the shadowpriest has a ton of damage burst too. but the priest wll have to be forced to heal the warlock if they want to have a chance at winning. My arena partner takes a ton of damage at the beginning so I HoJ priest + bubble and spam holy light the warrior and we usually win against that combo.

I really can't offer any good advice for a warrior pally to beat priest lock.

Killing the warlock first is definately your best bet, have the warrior intercept to stop the priest from MD your bubble. Priests have great resistance to stuns and interrupts, but a UA lock is still way squishier than a shadowpriest, especially with the new drain nurfs.

i've never lost to pally/warrior in season 2. Pallys are just too easy to keep locked down. a well coordinated priest and lock will still be able to CC the pally well even with one of the members locked down.

killing the felhunter can help, but it's time wasted where both the lock and priest are running rampant.

SL/SL you might be able to outlast better since they can't lock in their dots. but your much more likely to face UA/Spriest.

Its difficult unless you wear SR. =/ it's always a 50-50 chance to win or lose.
