View Full Version : Ret mage VS Holy priest + X
My ret + mage team cant seem to kill anything with a priest in it.
Between sheeping and following the priest who is constantly pillar running, he cant seem to get enough damage.
For priest rogue and priest warlock, can someone give some advice?

Mages perform poorly in 2's, and ret performs poorly, period. Don't think you can expect to be able to beat most comps with ret/mage.

What discussion? The thread so far has been people mocking your spec, and you retaliating by insulting their intelligence.
I'm merely pointing out for you the undeniable truth of the 2v2s bracket.
Actually Ret pally + Frost mage is pretty decent since both have insane burst damage potential.
With sheep/CS/repentance you should be able to have a good CC cycle to keep the priest down as you destroy the rogue. Have repentence ready for when he pops into LoS to heal the rogue, than repent him. Have your mage quickly sheep him and be ready to CS (improved I hope) if you think you can drop the rogue in that 3 sec.
You guys could go for the priest, but I think with all priests going Disc you're gonna have a hell of a time. You're better off just making the rogue blow all his CDs (twice prolly since everyone and their mom is Prep now) and nuking him with Frostbolt/Icelance shatter combo, Crusader Strike/HoJ/JoC

Sorry, I didn't think I had to go into a step-by-step detail on how to survive the two vanishes the rogue will have or the two evasions. I assumed a simple outline would be good enough.

The 2v2 bracket isnt balanced... i had hoped that everyone would know that.
The thread is not about whether or not you like me, my combo, my spec, my server, my battlegroup, or anything other than the matchup.
There will always be difficult matchups, i am looking for a strategy that gives my team the best chance to win.
