Just curious on what everybody else thinks about this comparison.
Spyglass of the Hidden Fleet
Equip: +40 Stamina
Use: Heals 1300 damage over 12 seconds.
2 min cooldown.
Talisman of the Horde/Alliance
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 34.
Use: Heal self for 877 to 969 damage.
2 min cooldown.
This one has been bothering me as well currently as I dont have capped resilience just yet. Guess I'll make decision after a few votes. :p
Youre a lock, thus spyglass. My reasoning is as far as I know, I dont have the item but from what I've read, the spyglass is not affected by MS or wound but IS by fel armor/+healing. Also is scales very well with +healing since it is a HOT. The tailsman IS affected my MS. Lastly, you have 486 res without the tailsman equipped.

Talisman = Heals for 1k
I'm pretty sure Spyglass doesn't scale with +heal, though I don't have one to make sure.
Talisman scales with healing talents and it can crit. Mine crits me for ~1600. Also, when you need an oshit heal... you probably need it now rather than over the next X seconds.
40 stamina is really nice, but considering that 1.5 stamina = 1 resilience in terms of itemization costs... 34 resilience > 40 stamina unless you're capped.

Yeah, that's my one complaint about it so far. I have to pop it when I start taking damage and not when I'm in trouble, or else it won't do squat. With fel armor up it ticks for just shy of 400, and with imp fel armor it ticks for 410 or so.
I cut off too much of your quote, but I'm almost capped atm with 486 res. I'll probably end up buying the Talisman on the next bonus honor weekend to play around with.
Wow, the lack of reading skills in this thread amuses me.

Yeah, I just cleaned up the thread a bit and removed all references to the other trinket. Let's see if that gets the thread back on the right course =)

Why thank you, now if only you could toss out their votes too :)
