View Full Version : New shifting macro help
I've been using
/cancelform
/stopcasting
/cast Dire Bear Form(Shapeshift)
for shifting, because it's quicker than hotkeying the actual bear 'button'.
Anyways, with the new quicker shifting, where we can go from travel -> bear and vice versa, I'd like some help on how to keep the 'old' methods of pushing it to shift out and pushing it to shift in.. As cool as it is, I'm probably only going to be using the new 'macro' on my bears bar, so any help is much appreciated.

Funny thing, but if u assign regular shift buttons with keys (all but complicated travel form macro) they will work just fine. Allow u to shift between forms, and allow u to shift out if needed.
I still have to figure out how to make spamshifting travel form -travel form. I mean i can do it, but that way i ll need 1 extra button to shift out travel.

Problem with that, is it is a -lot- slower than using /cancelform..
So hopefully someone good with macros can come up with something that has the quickness of that macro last patch, but can shift you out to human form.

I have the same or a similar problem Timoxa. For example, i use wheel up to shift in travel form. I used to be able to spam wheel up to get out but now when i do this, it just keeps me in travel form. To get out, i need to carefully make sure i only wheel down once. The wheel on my mouse is so sensitive it's really hard to do, and under pressure it makes it even harder :(
Does anyone know a way to get around this problem ? I would greatly appreciate it.
I could just use another macro for shapeshifting, but im too lazy to familiarise myself with another key when im so used to wheeling.

Personaly I love the new shifting.
If you are in a shapeshift form and try to use an ability that may only be used in caster form, you will leave the form and use that ability. This means that you can shift from one form to another in one action. If you don’t have mana to shift form, you will get an error message and remain in your current form. This can be disabled with /console autoUnshift 0
I would try "/console autoUnshift 0" if I dident thow.

Yeah i'll try that, thanks.
But my example was bad. My problem is when im in bear form, i dont have acces to all the spells in my primary action bar and most of them are really important spells. Anything else can be cast np. So i'd like to find a way that makes spaming my wheel down get me back in caster form when im in bear, without changing the new ability to switch from form to form.

What I did were to remake my shifting macros. Now I use my selfcast key (alt) to /cancelform instead of using the new form.
I know that you said that you dident want more buttons, but I found that selfcasting my forms were one of my keys that I dident use before. Still looking in to making a macro that would work like before thow.
