I hear some druids are saying that these 2 points are great. Does it really help that much though? Does it let you CC a warrior out of their intercept range? Mana burn range? Any examples/help would be appreciated.

I was thinking about speccing into this, but it's at the cost of 12% bonus healing to HoTs.. In the end I don't think it's worth it.

It's more gamebreaking then few HP/S, I love it.

Depends how much +heal you have and what your partner is.
If you are with a warrior its probably not a good idea, since they need a lot more healing to keep alive. If you are with a lock you often only need to worry about your own hp, so its a lot easier to sacrifice the heal boost.
20% more range is pretty amazing, and having lolswarm with the spell damage increase will be pretty awesome too.
I currently don't have the talent, but I plan on getting it for S3. For an additional point you get insect swarm, which with the healing to spell damage change is now a decent talent for restos.
What sealed the deal for me was this. In arena, this warrior was coming towards me. So I used the opportunity to test something. I kept spamming cyclone on him while he was out of range. That way, as soon as he reached 30 yards I started to cast a cyclone. Yet, he was able to intercept me before the cyclone went off. I repeated that experiment three times, always with the same result. Warriors who run after me and spam intercept will get it off before I get the cyclone off.
I am sure that will not be possible if the range of the cyclone is 36 yards.

it's great and from 2.3 on becomes even greater because of the cure poison range buff. no reason to stay closer than 36 yards to anybody now, except you wanna feral charge/bash.

This. I respec'd and find i don't use insect swarm that often, mainly b/c a lot of teams feature defensive dispels, but the extra 6 yards on cyclone/roots/faerie fire/r1 moonfire are tremendously helpful.

Actually, you'll probably get the best of both worlds. Him intercepting you as the cast goes off, cycloning him as he intercepts, using his intercept CD, while he's Cycloned, allowing you to move away unmolestable for 12 seconds (after the stun wears off). Cyclone is particularly buggy in respect to continuing to land after LoS/interrupts.
