Are you staying SL/SL? Are you changing your spec? Why? :)

I play UA in 2's, I hate sl/sl. I'm going felguard with silk/felweave in S3 and either running double dps in 2's, or 3's with a holy priest/ar/prep rogue.
Won't be able to survive rogues anymore as UA after 2.3. I hate SL/SL, on top of that it's getting boned pretty hard with the drain changes, lack of pet scaling, and spell penetration being easy to get for other casters.
Felguard offers some burst + survivability, I'll be going 9/41/11, fits perfectly with a ar/prep rogue + priest. Best part is I can respec full destro on weekends and have a blast in BG's =0

5on5 UA, 4dpsteam, no draining needed.
3on3 sl/sl, never drained much anyway. Just dotting & cc

Staying destro.
Did you actually get those ratings as destro, or are you just destro now and sitting on them?
No offense meant in any way, I'm just curious because I've always liked destro and played it alot at 60 but I havnt seen many people who have had success with it in the arena, especially in 2s/3s

im going to run 23/4/34 most of the time i think. maybe 41/7/13 ua for 5s or
6/44/11 FG. depends on what teams i run in really. sl/sl will still be great though nerf will be most noticeable in 2s running healer/lock obviously

I'm planning on giving 42/19 a try, if that fails go back to 27/34 :(
FG just doesnt work in 3s for me (we have no dispeller) and isn't good with a druid in 2s (imo)
In 5s I'll def try 20/41/0

2v2 - Who cares I hate this bracket:P but 26/35
3v3 - 6/34/21 most likely.
5v5 - 43/7/11 if we're playing 4 dps, otherwise felguard.

Me/Holypriest/Rogue. It's pretty successful, I haven't had a great deal of experience as sl/ruin though, only playing our games from about 2250 to where we are now, but it was really nice.

Originally i planned to go felguard in 5v5 next season. But the last 2 weeks i've played with UA 2v2 spec (42/19) and i didnt want to respec because our rating wouldnt really matter anyway. Surprisingly though, UA actually worked quite good on my 3dps team. Priest, pala, mage, warlock, warrior.
This is mainly because of the changes to priest - they are now able to keep me alive through burst. The opposing team cannot afford to let a UA lock be alone so i'm usually the #1 target. However, i can still do a lot of damage, and some good timed silences and AoE Fears are really nice.
We play a triple healer outlast/mana burn team. Our lock used to be UA but he gave felguard a try last night. We got farmed hard by this team making their gladiator run, which was also a triple healer team. Their lock was SL/SL. Now granted they were a lot better than us but their warlock did an aweful lot more damage than ours even though both teams mostly focused the priest. Some on my team suggested that SL/SL might be the better spec for our kind of team.
Are they right? It seems most top warlocks spec FG for these kinds of teams. The gap in damage was big but I think it has more to do with the FG damage being counted seperately as well as them having two defensive dispellers while we only have one (we have no pally). And then the whole skill thing, even though their lock didnt do much other than dot-fear-drain.
In general, how much DPS does a FG put out over a long fight?
Alright, I've been toying around with various specs recently and I was wondering if anyone has played with a 21/5/35 spec(http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?1500222212210100000000050000000000000 000000505000512230512031000 is what I'm looking at atm). I'd use all the pvp crit gear I could find and spam searing pain when dots/cc/insta bolts are up. The burst damage this spec is capable of would be very scary and the survivability, while a little weak, should be enough.
My thoughts are that the talent points into imp searing pain allows me to completely negate -% crit from resil, therefore all the crit I gained from devastation and gear would play a huge role in bursting down targets. Add in two forms of proccing shadowbolts, conflag, death coil, and shadowburn and your burst is pretty much unbeatable. This spec still has the three instant dots, so mobility shouldn't be an issue if you're forced into kiting melee.
I know a lot of specs look badass on paper, but suck when put to use... so I'm hoping to get some answers some ppl who have tried with spec with a felweave set.
Now that people can see your buffs, No SL = that rogue is going for you first...always. All your dmg will be limited to insta casts.
Only reason people go as SL in 5v5 or 3v3 is to hope to avoid "agro" and when "Agroed" hope to live long enough through SL and imp fel armor before till someone on the other side dies....or get a fear off.
i won't cover 2v2 since that bracket is a joke.
That's the thing, the spec still has a lot of instant cast spells. It has the insta dots an SL lock would have and it'll also be proccing shadowbolts like crazy with a rogue on you. Not to mention a lot of the higher up teams are using shadow users (I'm seeing a lot of shadow priest/UA lock combos in high-end 5's on Ruin), therefore nether protection should be firing quite a lot to mitigate a fair amount of that team's burst.
Also running with a warrior/paladin in 3's allows me to kite melee classes fairly easily. Between stuns, deathcoil, fears, and hamstring melee types shouldn't be on me for any major length of time.

You'll get nuked by teams that mostly have physical damage, especially the ones with offensive dispell.
I'm probably staying 27/34, I might possibly change to 24/37 if pet killing just skyrockets. Does anyone think demonic resilience will be a "must" in s3?
5/34/22 is something to look after though if, like someone stated here, you're not getting focused. Searing pain spam with that build together with corruption ticking must be quite nice.
