S3 What to get first...

As S3 approaches I am debating with myself what to get. I have about 2k pts saved up right now and I was thinking when S3 gets here to just grab a new MH dagger.

I was thinking once I grab the new MH I would offhand the Malch.

I have full merc except the chest. So do ya'll think the weps are a better up or the gear? Any advice is appreciated.

I personally will probally pick up the head/shoulders/gloves first S3. The weapons I buy define the specs I can play so I think it's better to get my gear first gem/enchant it all out then decide upon weapons just so I am not switching around.

If you're 100% sure you are going to stick with daggers, get the weapons first. I'll probably get the weapons last since I'm undecided on how I'm going to spec.

Seeing as you're using s1 shiv combined with malchazeen and 4/5 s2 pieces, I'd definetly recommend you to upgrade your weapons first. You're getting like 12 more dps on your mh by going from malcha to s3 shanker.

I will buy 3 setpieces first, then save points for 2 weapons until I can decide if i play mace or daggers.

Thanks for the feedback. I was pretty sure I was going to go weps since my current ones are sub-par. I was going to grab the new MH and offhand the Malch and see how that does. Do you think it would be better to stick with the shiv, for cheaper shiv's? Or will the higher burst from s3/malch make up for that?

I'm gunna be going hemo maces and since I have 2 S2 maces i'm probabaly gunna get gloves/helm first day, then shoulders when we get up to 2k. Then upgrade weaps and last 2 pieces. So far thats my plan atleast.

I take it you get ~1k points a week, so you will have ~4k points when s3 comes. This means you have enough for both a new mainhand and an offhand, which I advice you to take since both your weapons are subpar.

Now the question is: Offhand mutilator or shiv?

Frankly, I've been wondering about that choice for weeks now and I still dont know what's best - I guess it all comes down to playstyle. Mutilator will provide higher burst, but if you run around shiving everybody near you, then the shiv would most likely prove best.

Gonna get 3/5 s3 first(to replace hwl gear), then focus on upgrading my maces. You should get what ever is the best upgrade for you.
