our priest ebayed right around the time cleave became popular. we dont have a lot of experience against it.

id say the closest we have is series vs venruki's eurocleave. that went about 1:1.

id say you have a pretty good shot just because of the amount of damage theyre unable to stop. i feel like the biggest reason we had such a hard time against venruki's team is because they had a mage to spam poly/cs to interrupt half our damage.

on paper to me it seems like the advantage is in the JAC combo's favor.

nah, id say your description of the 4dps game plan is actually pretty accurate.

Four dps is just zerging. The only complicated part about it is switching which is basic too. But It really feels like the game is just much easier for people running cleave who can just stick multiple targets on someone and lock out every bit of there damage. If all 4 of us tried to focus push, he'd just pop rage and keep auto attacking to success. If all 4 of you focus a mage or a spriest, they can't cast one thing and are basically just tanking with their bad armor.

Edit: The only hard part about your cleave team, is the mage's job. It's the warriors and enh shams job to just zerg.

I played a horribly gimped 4 dps team (Er warrior spriest ele shaman destro lock holy pally) last season to glad and above and i know how 4 dps works. I can tell you the combo we run now is no easier than what you are running.

Meh TBH the cleave with mage setup seemed pretty simple to play. Im not hating on simple comps (im getting glad from eurolol), but it is a fact that some teams are just easier to play. Vs us you pretty much just sat on the lock the entire match, while i just sat there trying to peel.

Auracle man we were 2 rating from getting them thier weapons. We started at 1989, got up to 2010 or so then Niek d/ced .. then a bad loss.. we basically farmed 5 point wins up to 2048 3-4 times and kept dropping back down. You guys were the icing on the cake. Anyway good games you guys and Venruki are the only people to give us so much trouble. Sorry about the /golfclap we just had a really bad night haha you owned us. As for being easy to play, it's definately rough when we are so dependant on melee damage with that hunter and yourself basically locking Push and Niek down.

I'm gonna go off on a limb here and say that the only real comps that don't require much brains, are cleave (2 or 3), 4dps, or triple healer. Everything else has a lot less room for error. Comps such as 2345, 2346, and euro can be taken to a much higher level then the "zerg" comps that make up the majority of the 5v5 bracket.

Euro is REALLY easy though, it deserves it. You can pretty much run around in a circle for 5 minutes and still beat 234x/4dps

I don't think 3 healer set ups will "destroy" them. Hunter/rogue/priest is a setup for control and mana burns. Any 3 healer team they fight can result in them just training the priest the entire game (hunter+rogue) so mana burns don't go off, while keeping viper up and their own burns going. They have a shaman to counter other hunter teams vipers, so not much problem there.

I don't know what the deal is, but since posting here seems to get little success for whatever reason, PM me in game or on the boards if anyone wants to play us and I'll let you know exactly when we'll be playing.

You of all people should know that there's a huge difference between a rogue in full pve gear and a shammie in full pve gear. It was very respectable and made our night much more enjoyable." Or at least that's what I'd have said =P Really though you guys played just as well or better than "Basola DCed from Glad." We simply got to play you enough to figure out a solid strat against that comp. Basola stopped queueing after we went 2-0 in our last 2 games (after an 0-2 start).

Also, Worldpeas and co. I posted on the staghelm boards, but good games. You guys played well and really managed to shit on our rating at the end. I tanked 2 games by simply not knowing the strat going from 2250--> 2200, then we lost one more in the series when you guys just played well (2-3 overall).

Nice to see the 5v5 bracket in action again =P

We qued up against "Basola DC'd from Glad", they beat us once, and then we sat in que for 15 mins, assuming they didnt que up again, and beat some 8 point team. We qued up again and got Basola, beat them, and then sat in que for another 10 mins b4 deciding to stop for the night. I guess you guys must have been done already, I would have liked to play more.

I don't know why people talk trash. I play Arenas for fun and competition. If people want to talk trash on an Enhancement Shaman, go ahead, but it's pretty ridiculous, and I always try to be friends with everybody I play against (most people are cool).

Anyway, we were #1 in the world for about a month and my Mage quit the game without saying a word. We spent a month trying to figure new combos out and stuff--didn't work.

Now we have our old combo back with Gobz, so we'll be playing a lot more regularly and competitively, looking to push for #1 in the world again.

See, that's why you're wrong I bet the first game you went in against a 4 dps team you'd let someone die, the switches are so fast and if you're not precasting on the switch target at 100% even if they aren't on it yet it will most likely die or come close to dead. Healing is not as easy as you think but I really don't care what you say since you play one of the strongest healing classes in the game to make up for your lack of ability.
