If you sort the teams by losses on the armory and send all the names of the teams with <20 losses to a database along with the number of losses. Do the same with the wins and add them together and take however many teams are under 20 games wins+losses. I have no experience with webcrawlers or databases, but it seemed like a good idea to me. Also it doesn't account for teams that have been abandoned, but it's a good start.

This is a good idea and will eliminate a lot of teams but not nearly all. The vast majoriry of teams that will be below 20 games played will have a 1500 rating. On most battlegroups you cannot see teams with a 1500 rating as they are not in the top 5000 teams.

Looks like a good idea on the surface but seems armory won't show any teams outside the ones on the standard 250 pages when you sort via rating.

I think it could be possible to do a rough estimate like this.

Find a team rated slightly over, and slightly under 1500 (1501 and 1499 preferably). Check the teams standings, and figure out about how many 1500rated teams there are (which 95% would be inactive)

This would filter away that big chunk of 1500 at least.

Letters - Good idea, but because a team can have 100 games played but no one on ti with 20 games, I still have go to through every team.

Rabiznax - Good idea, I'll see if I can add that to my estimation scheme.
