35/23/3. Nothing is really going to change.

Wrong.
In 5v5, 45/5/11 is going to be a better choice than 33/25/3 or 35/23/3.
In 2v2 or 3v3, the old specs rule supreme.

I think 33 28 will still be one of the best choices for 5v5

I wouldn't be so sure about that, we are already getting a new trinket which will help us survive 4 dps, having last stand at the cost of enrage, disarm immunity (half the duration, not immunity >_<), sweeping strike (which will be usable in zerk stance, god I can't wait) and for some of us imp slam isn't worth it. At least to me it doesn't seem worth it at all.

b/c all ff targets are always next to sheeps.
Plus this topic wasn't just about 5v5s, I use SS a ton in 2s and 3s.

doesn't have to hit a sheep. good mages sheep multiple targets, and a deep wounds can really fuck things up. i greatly prefer a slow, steady, consistent & controlled win to pretending to be an aoe class.

SS does have its uses. Challenging shout + 10 charges of SS can easily obliterate a fel hunter or two while you maintain control on the warlock. Personally I'll still be sticking with 31/30. 5/5 Flurry adds far too much DPS to be overlooked. The healing factor from SW is very minor, and the rage generation pales to the additional 10% attack speed bonus from flurry.

I'm pretty sure sweeping strikes doesn't actually crit. If your main target hit that procs the SS hit crits, than that SS hit will do double damage, but it doesn't count as a crit for deep wounds or the combat log. At least that's what I remember from silithus farming more than a year ago.

I dont have the cash to respec for each bracket, I raid during the weeks, and I already spend 100g a week spec'ing from 5/5/51 to 33/28 (plus repairs, Kael can suck me. 65g a night ftl). SS would kind of suck for 5v5 if your running a high cc setup (who doesnt) but my 5v5 fell apart due to people quitting / xfering. Since my main brackets 3v3, Ill prolly stay similar to a 33/28 build or 35/23/3.

yeah, 33/28 is a safe bet for all brackets..i just think 45/5/11 is going to be dominant for 5v5

Here it is, 45/5/11...
Biggest drawback is not losing enrage, its losing PH. If you have a disc priest on your team the new pain suppression and last stand will pretty much make a warrior immune to 4 dps teams.
I'll be moving the 3 points from imp hamstring to defiance untill i have enough heroic badges to get the cape. Gotta love being forced to pve to pvp.

nah you dont need defiance to tank heroics, just spec like you'll end up going, and you'll be ok

honestly I just dont want to have to put any effort into tanking, if the TM buff is enough ill stick to 45/5/11

I am also considering this spec for 5v5, however I really cant decide if speccing into prot is going to help vs loss of other skills.

I just like it because it allows you to do excellent damage when you aren't being focused, and survive more easily if you are. The only times i really see myself with enrage are when someone's going for a warrior gib, and that's when i'm running out of line of sight with a shield on, so enrage is useless.
I will miss piercing howl, though.

I was discussing this with my paladin, and he acctually thought that enrage would be better. I told him about the 45/5/11 spec and he brought up the point that he acctually notices me taking non-focus damage during matches. I get hit by chain lightning, multishot, whirlwind, warriors trying to hamstring me, and considering I'm the main Damage dealer in our 2345 setup it's hard to really decide if losing enrage and PH are worth it. I will definatly try the spec on tuesday, but I wont be surprised if 41/20 ends up being my spec.
