Hello my OP friends,

I have a relatively simple question regarding soul link.
Multiple times I have read that when a pet is Banished or Cycloned the damage that would be redirected to your pet from Soul Link does not persist while said CC is in effect.

Has anyone ever actually tested this and run some numbers? I've seen several posts on the WoW forums that say this is the case, but we all know how dubious anything from those forums can be.

I'm just curious because it seems to me if my warrior happens to be stacking sunders on a lock then building up 100ish rage, it may be effective for me to throw 10 seconds of cyclone at a Void walker in that timeframe when my warrior dumps 100 rage on a 0 armor warlock. Thanks in advance.

Also, in an unrelated note, when a warrior taunts a pet, does the pet switch to the warrior only for the duration of the Taunt Debuff and then go back to its original target? or will he stay on the warrior until the warlock sends him back onto me? Does the pet being passive or aggressive make a difference in this?

Yes when a warlocks pet is banished/cycloned the warlock loses soulink, I have never had a warrior sunder me in 2v2 or any arena bracket for that matter.

Not sure about the taunt think I do know that that sometimes on my shaman when I lay Stoneclaw totem the hunters pets will be taunted off me for a bit.

Yeah, we never sunder locks either, but I wonder if it would be valuable. The ability of Warlock/Healer combos at the higher ratings is significantly different from what it was back in my team farming days at lower ratings.

I'm not sure we'll ever even try it, but if the option is open and it happens to work out, I figure why not give it a try.

Sundering is good just don't let your sunders where off once you have them stacked, and I think when you taunt a pet it will stay on you not too sure haven't done it in awhile
