i used to play in the version of this that ran warlock instead of frost mage. here's some input as it would translate to your variant...

your hunter and mage need to play very aggressively in terms of damage dealing. your priest and paladin need to be very strong defensive players, and know how to position themselves to take pressure *off* of the mage and hunter to allow them to focus on doing so. your warrior needs to value his hp bar as much as he values his damage, and should know when to intervene/LoS to get topped off before going back out.

viper stings and hunter pet should always go on the other team's primary healer. you are essentially attacking the healer's mana bar two ways--via sting, and mortal strike.

mage cc/counterspells should be used one of two ways...in games where you have a very high priority target--like a UA warlock--the mage should be sheeping a dpser early, then switching to the team's secondary healer when the ff target hits about 40%. in games where the dps target *is* the secondary healer (a great example is mirrors), the sheeps should rotate through dpsers.

still, your mage needs to be mindful of one thing--his primary duty is to blow someone's head off. if you get stuck in a cc first, dps 2nd mentality, you will have a much harder time winning.

force defensive play, and you should be good to go.

what do you think about sheeping the warrior also? as in the frost mage sheeping the enemies warrior

and me as a priest i should be mana burning the pally or the secondary healer?

if you can get the war to chase a bit and catch him out of position with it then great, but most guys wont put themselves in that position. id sheep the enemy mage.

sheeping the warrior isn't necessarily a bad idea. warriors are obviously a huge threat to any team, but you should definitely expect to have the war dispeled out of poly within 1-2 seconds at most against 2k+ teams. i would view a war poly as an interrupt more than anything, unless (as cyox mentioned) you can catch the warrior in a bad spot--ie, if the warrior breaks LoS from his dispelers, sheep him quickly if you are in position to do so. forcing the dispelers to run to him is essentially a couple seconds worth of passive cc.

as far as manaburns--if your warrior is on their secondary healer, manaburn the main healer. between viper stings, manaburn, and having to heal through MS, he'll be oom very early--especially if your mage is playing aggressively enough.

a lot of who you target first will depend on what lineup you're facing. your team isn't really a warrior killer against most lineups simply due to having a good portion of your damage come from physical attacks.

vs 4 dps, mowing down UA locks, shadow priests, etc is good--vs a mirror (or the warlock variant), priest is definitely the way to go.

the process is basically sorting out *who* you can put the hurt on quickly with this lineup, and who your hunter pet + sting will be able to really hinder if the game stretches out. hunter pet + sting on primary healer, in conjunction with the manaburns and MS debuff he's healing through--is generally the fastest way to eat any one player's mana bar.

to really cash in on that, you want to focus someone who will either die quickly under focus, or who will require a ridiculous amount of healing to keep up.

mages tend to be a good switch target if the other team's priest goes so far away that you can't stretch for the kill without exposing your priest and paladin to horrible position--once that priest gets back out, jumping back on him quickly is easy to do.

yes going for the mage seems to be very easy. Especially when trying to burn that pallys mana pool
