Hey, im SL/SL, my partner is a resto druid we just got to 2500 in 2v2 the other night, we became pretty damn good at fighting Druid/MS but everything i see on the rest of the BG's is MS/Druid all over the place, are we doing something different??, are the ms/druid combos not good enough in my bg?, right now with 4 equally skilled and geared druids lock and warr who would win the match?
I've played both and i'd say Druid/Warlock takes the cake. If its played properly and the druid keeps healing the Warlock Pet then they can usually just outlast you.
The only real x factor is in Blades Edge where its really easy for the Druid playing on Druid/Warrior to escape the pet and get a few drink ticks off. Even then, however, a warlock is going to switch to the warrior to draw the other druid back out to heal before getting much of a drink.

yeah i usually switch to the warrior when the druid runs away to bring him back, and regarding the pet thing, if they manage to kill my felhunter i just get a VW out and its gg, the warr cant kill that pet and it works quite good keeping the druid in combat when needed, thanks for the input guys :D

I'd say lock/druid has the advantage, but it really comes down to the skill of the druid vs druid.
Hey tree I've fought you and latrell a bunch, good matches.
hehe, thanks not sure who you are though, wtb Avatar Change?
We've played like 10 matches in 3 weeks, I'm hoping that we dont' drop back down to 2050 because of no practice when he comes back this week. 2250 or bust, Ezmode Gladiator FTW.

Mestavia, my partner is Morberis. We fought you tonight. I /waved
I can see why you prefer druid/lock because those are probably the toughest or closest matchups for us.

You beat us pretty badly fox, but (and i don't mean this in a derogatory way) we went and played around with ricardo to see if we could work out a strat, and if the warrior isn't gnome i don't see how it is possible to win, ric just shut me down better than any of the teams we'd lost to.
With curse of exhaustion you can never catch a druid, especially after patch, we've had plenty of trouble with lock druid teams that DON'T keep that debuff up on me. When they do... it's just over.
I think that MS/Drood leads other BGs because they can get shadow resist and beat warlock teams with ease.

sunder stacks and hamstrings on pet + warlock
it's relative to skill though in the end; this is a considerably close matchup

I would love for more input on how to beat the warlock because no matter how sundered the pet is, i can't kill it when i'm rooted and cycloned.

Usually my war beats on the lock until the pet gets around 50%ish due to sl, I call it out and i drag it behind a pillar, he intervenes me and unloads on it. He saves rage for this point, if he calls the pet back it should still be 20-30%ish, cyclone the pally and it's gg.

Store up 100 rage while the pet's getting dmged through SL. Go behind a pillar, hamstring the pet. If they call it back, taunt (aoe or normal, your personal pick depending on your rage), and finish it off.

Taunt works when he's calling the pet back? Nice, thanks, I didn't know that.

Both played correctly the warlock/druid should win pretty much everytime. The pet shouldn't really get to anywhere near 50% from SL when just tossing a lifebloom on it and letting it expire heals it for like 1/4 it's health.
Between roots CoE and cyclone shutting down the warrior has never been a problem for me.
I've lost 1 game to a warrior since 2v2ing with my warlock and he basically permastunned me with macestuns to do it.

odds are pretty even with slight advantages for the lock team. as warrior/druid I deliver the pet to my warrior everytime he's rooted. everytime it's slowed I manage to drink. if I can protect my innervate and keep going until the pet dies for the second time and manage to cyclone/feral charge the lock while he tries to get a full spawn off we win.
anyway there is a druid/lock team in our BG where the druid has like 2300 addheal, it's just impossible against these guys.

Just stick to the Druid then, you will eventually kill him since his HP/Res probably sucks. Just assist your Warrior when he gets the Druid low and charge/bash him.

i love when locks summon void walkers >_> they can be rooted for free drinks... lock / druid teams are hard, but my warrior and i don't lose to them.

My partner got up to 1500 healing from 1100 this week and it's a totally different game.
