My Pally and I are starting to run into some trouble going up in the ratings. We get up into the 2000's and then pretty much hoover around there. I know warrior/druid is superior to warr/pally so that doesnt need to be said. I would just like to hear from some warrior/pally groups that were able to get into the 2100's and above. Me and my partner lose to pretty much all lock/healer teams( pally/lock, druid/lock) how do you go about these matches? Who to target first? Also, my paladin is also having some mana issues..hes full merc with weapon/shield but doesnt have spellsurge on his weapon. Does your pally partner wear some pve gear to try and mp5?

Thanks in advance.

Pal/War vs Druid/War is basically a 50/50 game imo. Pally needs to get JoJ on the druid asap so you can stick to it better. pummeling a cyclone is very crucial as well, since it silences every healing spell.
Pal/War vs Warlock/healer you should go for their warlock first. try your best to keep hamstring on all targets including pet. whenever pet is below 50%, intercept over and kill it. allows your pally some drinking and more damage on the lock. pummel mana drains if your pally happens to get caught in one, and oh yeah, stack stunders.

the biggest challenge with warrior paladin is how much los u have to coordinate imo. I have run this combo in the past but my paladin has been having more success with a warlock, although we did get 2400. I think killing the pet against warlocks is important and your paladin can help with exorcism and holy shock. When you need a heal your paladin will likely be vulnerable to mana drain so switch to the lock to pummel when he needs to heal you. If he's good at los'ing and you can get the pets down without allowing a full summon you should do all right.
The biggest challenge for us was double dps teams, mage/rogue and warlock/rogue. We would lose to mediocre teams for 25 points because the match ups are 30-70 or worse. I can recall playing a mage/priest team the day before the 2v2 qualifiers and they raped us for 70 rating, we would have been on the event realm had we not queued at all that day.
There's just tons of combos imo that will gay warrior teams really badly that don't have the same effect on warlock teams. I think warlocks have some 40/60 match ups but nothing as bad as warriors. Shadow priest/warlock is pretty much 20/80 against you unless you wear shadow resist.

Pally/warr vs. druid/warrior is not 50/50... You should be able to beat this team at least 90% of the time if your good. Yes if they are also good they will beat u a few times by some lucky resists etc. etc. but with justice and a skillherald on your warrior that druid should not get away. I got over 2200 with my pally before he quit the game and we rarely lost to warrior/druids

OP doesnt have a skillherald. hard to put JoJ on if his druid is LoSing well. i see some top warrior/pally vs warrior/druid teams turn into a slugfest of warrior vs warrior cuz the druid is too slippery to stay on.

Slugfests like that are easy wins for a druid if he's good..... cyclone the pally to interrupt heals, and when he can't do that, cyclone the warrior to also interrupt heals. Basically to beat druid/war with pally, your pally has to help you get and stay on the druid. JoJ, timely bofs/dispels, BE silences if you're horde (I know the OP isn't), and occassionally catching a druid in anything but bear for with HoJ. My pally has gotten SO many killing blows as well. Once a druid is down below 20%, I have a tendancy to try and finish, and execute usually only gets you 75% of the way there..... Holy shock and hammer of GG win matches. This means that you're probably not going to be at full health, and neither is your pally. He may have to blow one of his bubbles to help you finish offensively rather than saving them for defense..... don't be afraid to do this!

correct, which is why i stated a 50/50 win ratio for the two teams meeting. it really depends on both teams healers and what they do right/wrong that decides the outcome of the match imo

i think its ridiculous to say that warrior/paladin has a significant advantage over warrior/druid. the match up imo favors warrior druid depending on the map. juding one justice will not kill a good druid by any stretch of the imagination. The druid can just bear form tank you while running out of los while the warrior beats on you. Since your paladin isn't very mobile often times you may find yourself unable to pressure the druid because you need a heal. Additionally if their warrior is prudent at keeping the paladin hamstrung joj is easier said than done. A well timed feral charge or cyclone can seriously change the match up and put you on the defensive. after that it is really difficult for the paladin team to create any sort of pressure.

ive played this match up on both sides and would choose a druid on blade's edge or nagrand but probably a paladin on lordearon.
