I was wondering in 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 should i put Devour Magic on auto or manual cast?

I run with a priest for 2v2 and druid/warrior in 3 v 3.

Also should i use my heal/resi trinket which puts me at 460 resi or go with the icon of the silver crescent which would put me at 980ish spell damage and 423 resi, saving up my points for s3 pants and weapon.

All depends imo...on a druid I normally have it going at all times but vs a mage youd prolly need it to eat poly

depends on fight. i find defensive use is better mostly if you ar eplaying with druid/warrior to remove sheep off warrior, fear off druid etc

in 2v2 against healer/dps i use on auto because pulling your pet off healer to remove a debuff can allow them to drink

if against double dps in 2v2 id use defensively in msot situations to remove cc

trinket choice is preference. i use the heal trinket usually, altho i don't think it's necessary to do so.

as for auto purge vs. manual purge, i would suggest getting used to toggling it for each fight. some teams it will just be beneficial to have it on auto and others will favor manual. for example, warrior / paladin encourages me to use manual for dispelling JoJ, HoJ, and freedom (and then randomly purging the paladin manually for good measure) while i'm going to prefer to use auto against a priest / warrior

druid=on auto
mage=off auto
warlock+druid=keep the pet on lock and auto.
priest= auto
paladin=off auto to dispell stuns/effects on healer/me
shaman=auto

It's generally too valuable to turn off. Mostly because it heals your pet of all the SL damage you are taking, but also because it wastes thousands of the enemy's mana in the form of dispelled buffs over the course of a match. And finally it gives you one less thing to concentrate on, allowing you to have better timing and use of your other abilities.

Most teams and most opponents it should be on autocast.

I'm taking it that in druid/lock you burn the lock and don't allow the druid to run away and heal?
I've only seen this happen with priest/lock; care to explain why? lol

mirror match combo's, i put my dog on the warlock. why? because druid heals are HOTs. he's eating fel armor, he's eating all your other crap buffs, and then he gets to the HOTs. every time you have to re-cast thats a global cooldown your not using to attack me or my druid. and my druid reminds me ALL the damn time to re-apply fel armor.
as 23/38 your pet isn't going to run out of mana. it pressures the druid to keep healing the warlock more, and puts them at a disadvantage. meanwhile, im on the lock, the lock is trying to be on my druid and their druid can't go drink cause his partner will die.

my druid is out running the other lock's pet, and drinking whenever he feels like it. o and it pisses other locks off LOL.

priest lock VS druid lock, if i was on the priest team, i would also put the demon on the lock. because the priest has dispells as well that are offensive. you can pretty much kill all healing done to the warlock except lifebloom dispels. that will fuck a team up

so youre actually going to kill a sl lock because he cant los or drain or spell stone while his druid drinks to full

are there any competent teams in your battlegroup?

im sorry but your strat seems to work for like 2k rated teams

For your 3v3 I would keep it on manual for the most part if your against mages. Will help seeing as you have no dispeller for you or your warrior. Also if you have the micro skills, you can leave it on manual period and just use it normally. Missing a spelllock because of the GCD that a devour activated sucks :(

I'm a bit confused as to how the warlock is not preventing you from that, I mean he can fear and the druid can get enough distance to run behind a pillar and drink.
