As the season nears the end, it's beginning to feel as though the competition is much tighter than it was before. We've been working our asses off since we started (which was about midway through s2) with more than 500 games played... and now we're at a stand still.

We're not full merc, we're 3/5 s2 gear but I don't think we're ready to blame gear for the issues we're having. All the teams we play seem like anti-teams but there must be a way to beat them we're not seeing...

Warrior/druid:
This team pops up a lot. Usually the fight starts with the lock tanking the warrior, I got and find the druid. I start stunning the druid, cheapshot > kidney shot (which they usually trinket) followed by a blind. I then switch to the warrior and the lock starts fearing the druid. Even with the fears/death coil and then me switching back to gouge/kick if they're in range it seems we can easily lose to this combo, even if the players themselves don't seem particular swift.

Warlock/paly:
I usually get in range and vanish while in stealth to prevent being seen, the paladin eats a sap and I cs the warlock... the pally trinks and I blind him, I spend some time chasing down this SL lock doing as much damage as possible. He gets blessing of protection, I clos and vanish... we start over again. Then we lose.

Warlock/frost mage:
I get sheeped, I trinket... I get sheeped again, the warlock devours it. I get sheeped again. I put as much damage as a I can on the lock, the lock and mine die... 1v1 with the frost mage, 25% win rate.

These are just some of the teams we're having a hard time against... advice?

well at the higher lvs any pally is going to have blessing of Sac on his lock if he doesnt hes just dumb so sapping him and blinding him then become usless (which might be your problem i dont know). I also against this group myself keep a SaC on my lock the whole time to help with more damage mitigation.

as far as how to handle this group its going to be tough to kill the lock first imo id try going for the pally here (only if the team is good cause it will be next to impossible to CC the pally and kill the lock) My lock and I have the hardest time when this combo tries to kill me first.

your lock needs to CC the pally's lock with fear and DC and his CS on fears (only fear or CS the pally if your rogue gets feared off him he shouldnt be able to get a heal off with the rogue on him) once he bubbles you should vanish/cloak and wait for bubble to come off. Your lock should life drain/shadow ward/SPELL STONE and then as soon as the bubble is down kill the pally cheap shot ect and keep as much cc on the lock as possible.

in short CC the lock kill the pally sap the lock and blind him not the other way around at higher lv it becomes easier to kill the pally than the lock imo.

When lock/rogues play us this way is when we have had trouble with them my lock can usually win the 2v1 after im dead cause i live long enough but this i think would be your best bet (ive seen lucky crits kill a pally before he bubbles too)

Hi there Korindabar. And we haven't tried killing the paladin yet. Usually, we just kill the lock. Sometimes it works... sometimes... eh

We had the idea to switch it up and kill the paladin the next time we played that team but we didn't for the rest of the night... I'd rather not have another opportunity to try, it seems like a harder match up for us. I'm not undead so if I get feared off it's going to be rough....
