Elemental gloves for a resto shaman?

Anyone tried using 4/5 healing gear and elemental gloves for 5 yards extra range on shock spells?
Should be very nice for 2v2/3v3, any thoughts about it?

Yup definitely. I think most smart Resto Shamans choose these gloves.

Never Arena'd as Resto, but that always seemed like an obvious choice to me.

Last season i was restro and i always used the elemental gloves even tho i was Restro. It helps to much to not use them.

I see some shamans get the pvp blue gloves... They have the shock range, and the +heal maybe better than the +damage/healing as the glad ones. Not sure the total healing on the blue ones though.

I honestly don't use them, I have too many matches that come down to longevity (double healer + warrior team) where I need every stat to help heal that I can. I could definitely see them being pretty useful against mages teams though.

In 2v2 shaman is always about bursting down. You need spelldamage and you need +5 yards shock range. 2% crit chance on lesser healing wave is so crappy anything would be better.

these are VERY usefull. The minor loss in healing is easy to make up in other items/gems and the +5 yards is invaluable.

The extra 5 yards is undeniably better then the extra LHW crit.

Im actually not sure what to do next season in regards to this.

Take the double 35res ele/resto bonus? Or go with the 11 second groundings?

The groundings seem very nice, negating serious amounts of damage every 11 seconds, often saving your warrior or dps class, however being such a squishy(relatively, earth shield gone within seconds vs dispeller teams) im always the first to get crunched when we play against teams.

All in all its probably better for all arena'ing resto shamans to go for the 2 seconds off grounding, but that utility vs meatshield of resilience could mean well see alot of shamans going for the double set bonus (again).

true, but that will probably just emphasize the importance of placing groundings at the right time, dropping grounding every time its up is just pointless.

Doesn't matter anymore with the gloves change on the healing set.

Didn't use the elemental gloves this last season, but was planning on getting the elemental gloves next season for the 5 yards. Blizzard giving a good change, go figure.
