CGS WoW Arena Tournament Opens to Public Registration

Due to tremendous popular demand, Championship Gaming Series has expanded registration to the general public for the 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament. The competition starts next week with an online qualifier, running from Monday, June 9th until Sunday June 22nd. Competitors must be 18 or older to qualify, and must be residents of one of the following countries: the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Belgium or United Kingdom. The top two eligible teams from Europe and the top two teams from North America will be flown out to Los Angeles to compete live on July 19th for a prize purse of US$50,000.

It’s free to sign-up, but all competitors must register by June 8th.

Theres a funny little typo when registering. After entering your team name, it asks the question "Team Caption?" and you select yes or no. I believe it is meant to ask, are you the "Team Captain?"

lol I got confused by that, anyway, after you register it says that a CGS employee wil contact your or something like that. Never got an e-mail or anything, what do they mean by "contact you"?

They use carrier pigeons so you feel like a great warrior being called to battle to save the kingdom. It takes a few days for the bird to fly to you.

i got the email with login information, guess i'll see how it is when i get back from vacation

Logged in, there was only one other guy online called "Cgs".

Running fine, PvE content -is- enabled. I can't see any free vendors up, only all the real ones. Got a full set of s2 gear on me. You -can- queue for BGs.

Oh, and you can enter instances aswell.

So unless all this is gunna be changed, we'll see guilds farming BT soon I guess :p

Char creation disabled too. Got a Troll hunter on there, but no way to make an Orc one.

You get an account name + password mailed, you log in with it and you're automatically assigned to this realm.

The Account name should look like this: thecgs####
