Copying a post I made on WoW-EU-ENG forums, from a thread discussing the possibility of yet another Mortal Strike debuff/Snare on Mangle (http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=1468467053&sid=1&pageNo=1):
I think the two things crippling Feral the most is the loss of the old Natural Shapeshifter talent which gave a Swiftshifting buff after leaving a feral form (free shifting for 6 seconds) and a Nurturing Instinct talent worth taking (maybe 33% or 50% of Attack Power). The Swiftshifting talent should be high in the Feral tree, to not buff Restoration even more. Perhaps embeded in Survival of the Fittest, allowing the Feral druids to skip the Natural Shapeshifter Restoration-talent. It would add a hybrid feeling to the Feral tree, and effectively allowing, with the /cancelform buff in 2.3, to use the class to its fullest (CC, light healing, DPS). I don't think adding even more CCs and Mortal Strike effects is the right choice for druids. I would rather take the path of heavy hybridization rather than copying the "pure" classes.
I would add to that, the Furor clientside based and a 42 energy gain, to counter the new energy regeneration gain that basically make you lose the shift > shred possibility.
It would allow, with the /cancelform clientside to really play the druid as a shape/roleshifter in my opinion.
