Was wondering about the viability of this set up? My current 3v3 team has gotten to 2168 with moonkin/rogue/paladin, but it's getting too frustrating to play right now, and we want to try something else out. Thanks in advance!

Well I got to 2300 with rogue/priest/resto druid, so that's kind of the same... just have the priest mana burning and it sounds like it would work :P

Back in late August i rolled a priest/pally/rogue team and we reached 2300 and 2nd place in the BG about a month or two into the season. The lineup is extremely strong until you face double healer/warrior. Unfortunately our priest went off to college and I haven't run it since.

The more experience we had with the setup, the less mana burning we used and the fight shifted more towards outlasting. This combo is extremely stable and it feeds off the numerous lock/sp teams out there.

Why a rogue instead of a warrior? Besides the obvious that the rogue is your friend. It just seems inferior for what is sure to be a duration fight.

The rogue suprisingly supplies quite a bit. It gives lock down control on one of the dps...something a warrior cant give. This is especially important when a lot of the teams are sp/lock/healer (usually druid). It is also very strong against mage/rogue/priest, another common combo. Like i said, I broke 2300 with this combo back in august so i wouldnt call it inferior to a warrior...just different.

I could never get my rogue to spec for pvp and pick up maces [effin moondel], but we still hit 2k at the start of s2 with that lineup and it is very effective. The games; however, were miserable since they ran an average of 4-5 minutes. I then did warrior and resto shaman with me--much easier. I think a very good holy/disc priest and a rogue with maces could really dominate with a pally, but you really have to be prepared to burn down someone when the rogue gets them low [much, much easier next patch].

We did this with a mutilate rogue, holy paladin, holy priest to 2100.

It's interesting to say the least, just be prepared to spec and gear for long fights (mp5 :( )

You've got that right -_-.

Your priest needs to be a tank. 4k armor (self buffed), 13k hp (fort + kings) is the bare minimum I'd personally have with this build.
Your rogue needs to be a killing machine that can also survive.
Your paladin needs to be extremely impressive with mana and regen (<3 you Nebbers)

The only problem is once they figure out how to beat you it's kind of hard to change it up and beat them because you really are kind of a one trick pony.
